Known for their AMAZING Greek chili dog, speedy service and generous portions G&L has not only survived but thrived into 4 stores and 1 food truck located across the greater Muskegon area in West Michigan. I tried the Greek Chili Dog and Chicago Dog. So good! My son said his burger was tasty as well. The fries could’ve used some seasoning though. The lobby was closed so we had to use the drive thru. It was a long wait, even though there were only two cars ahead of me.

I’ve seen this location around for many years and just tried it for the first time and I couldn’t be more disappointed. There was no one else in line with me and yet I waited 15 minutes for a wrap and fries. Everything was cold when it was handed to me and there were mere scraps of gyro me inside my gyro wrap, should have been called a lettuce wrap. I won’t be back.

Muskegon’s original Greek chilli dog since 1926, and still my favorite. Sat down & ordered, within 3 minutes my chilli dog was in front of me. Great food at good prices, $1.70 for a chili dog.The most expensive thing on the menu is my namesake sandwich, a Reuben @ $8 and it comes with fries or chips. Their switch to paper straws from plastic shows respect for the Lake Michigan ecosystem and our planet. Now they need to switch to uncured nitrate and nitrite free hotdogs. I’d eat here more often if they did.

I’ve loved g&l from the time i was a kid! Always so good and friendly service. I wish they would add a vegetarian dog to the menu so I could enjoy the corn dogs and chili dogs again now that I’m vegetarian!! But I understand why they don’t. My go-to order is now the buffalo fries with no chicken. Amazing. They still charge full price (8.50) when you get no chicken which is kinda annoying but worth it.
