Brunch on the porch was wonderful! The service was superb! I loved the French toast and my friend had the Cajun Benedict and really enjoyed it. They took extra efforts to accommodate my allergy and I had no issues. Thank you for a wonderful morning!

What an amazing little gem in downtown madisonville. This is the type of restaurant you look for and hardly ever find. The service was amazing. The food was unbelievable! The red snapper with crab meat and salmon with artichoke and spinach was absolutely delicious. If you want a fabulous meal please go support this local restaurant.

So wonderful in every way! View, service, food, all perfect. The bread was so crunchy on the outside, we videoed ourselves tearing off pieces. Great gumbo, awesome shrimp and grits. One of the best meals I’ve had in Louisiana, truly.

About two months ago I visited Water Street Bistro and ordered their special that was a fried soft shell crab on a bed of pasta and was very delicious. Today, I was with a group of friends together with our wives and was told that one of the specials was the SOFT SHELL CRAB. The waitress was told by me that I wanted the SOFT SHELL CRAB with pasta, but she brought me one with spinach instead of pasta. When I mentioned to her she just turned around walked to the kitchen and brought me a plate of dry pasta without even mentioning she was sorry for the mistake. Although I went ahead and ate the entree it was not even fried like two of my friends ordered. I found it to be very mushy and not as good as the first time being at this restaurant. I should have spoken with the owner but left there with a bad taste for the place and don’t know if and when I may return.
