I ordered the cackalacky sauce for the wings. The sauce was too sweet and thick for my liking. That sweet potato cornbread was AMAZING!!! I wish I didn’t stay that far I would go get that cornbread all the time. The collards and green beans were good as well but the cornbread was my favorite!

Since they opened the shop in Stock & Grain in High Point the food quality is just gone downhill. Only 2 items on the menu that you’re able to order when they used to have some selection. Then I went in there yesterday and they tried to scam us over some cornbread. I paid for a side and my auntie got a plate (cornbread included) and then didn’t give us but 1 corn bread. When I confronted the staff they said “oh yeah we ran out ha ha” and I said okay so is there more… (45 min wait, and this happened the last time we ate here). Well we were gonna leave and I wanted my money back or my auntie to get refund because regardless of if it was the side I paid for or hers we were short a cornbread and weren’t gonna get it. Well instead of understanding because they were wrong and don’t know how to prepare ahead of running out (if you know it’s a 45 minute cook time), I got an attitude and a medium-rare piece of cornbread because they didn’t want to cough up $2. Then tried to microwave the raw cornbread they gave me so maybe it would “cook.” So this will be the last time I eat here. There are better options at Stock & Grain than this.

that oxtail rasta pasta a little to saucey but was freaking amazing. We also had some baked turkey wing(not wings like advertised) dirty rice, 12 cheese mac yummy and collards(to much sugar in them) but over all it was yummy. I would eat here again.

I’ve never had soul food before in my life but if the way Miss Johnnie Mae’s makes it is what soul food is supposed to taste like, then BOY have I been missing out all of these years!!

Got the turkey wing and dirty rice it was delicious. The meat fell right off the bone and the rice was cooked well and seasoned well. Loved it. Also their sweet potato cornbread is so good. Definitely recommend trying it out.

My son and I had an early dinner and it was awesome. I myself am a phenomenal cook and have had zero luck finding good soulfood since moving to NC. I had the 4 wings with Collard Greens and Mac and cheese. Everything was seasoned well and cooked to perfection. Next time I will ask to have my wings fried hard. My son had his wings with the specialty sauce and he said that they were the best wings he’s had from a restaurant. Definitely looking forward to going on a Sunday to taste the oxtail

My husband enjoyed 4 whole wings, collards, and the 12 cheese mac. He loved it. I ordered fried lobster tail with dirty rice, green beans, and 12 cheese mac. Protein was fresh— cooked to order. Delicious and seasoned well. We thoroughly enjoyed the sweet potato cornbread and hibiscus tea. Thank you for a delicious meal and outstanding customer service. We will definitely be back soon!!!

Ate there this past Tuesday. FIrst, way way overpriced for sure. The chicken wings were good, but that is all. nothing special for cure. Collards had basically no flavor, says cooked with turkey but saw no meat for sure. Dirty rice , again, was good, not great. Service was lack luster, just cold , no smile nothing. I wont be back.
