Buffet style Mexican food. There were plenty of good options. Pork, chicken, refried beans, I even tried a pinto bean dish that had peppers and onions in it. They also have every topping you can imagine. It’s just a short drive from the college.

Greeted with a smile as soon as we walked in by the gentleman behind the bar, placed our order, and went to our table. The buffet is small at first glimpse, but well stocked with good choices. The quality of food wasn’t too bad at all, no complaints there. If you need refills on your drink or tortillas, you have to take it up to the bar, but they are quick to take care of you. This place is a bar vs an actual restaurant, so concealed carry is not allowed, but they do have that posted as you walk in for any unsuspecting patrons. Would stop again if I was in the neighborhood.

There are two doors when you walk in, both say entrance. Either of them identify what they are the entrance too so it is confusing. The red door is the entrance to the basement bar. The other door is the entrance to the restaurant. The service wasn’t very good. There was a pretty serious language barrier. The drinks are very expensive we paid $17.98 for a Bloody Mary and Long Island. Both drinks left alot to be desired. From the chips and salsa to the kids food…. it was pretty much a wash. While it is authentic Mexican food it was very bland. I would have only gave it one star, but the bartender at least said she would run to the store to get the rest of the ingredients for my drink after I mentioned it was not correct. The astetic is traditional Mexican theme bright colors, the tables are high top and low top no booths in the restaurant area.

We were looking for something new and found Gatos! It’s a BUFFET so everyone found something they liked! Price is decent and it’s all you can eat! Pretty authentic but more mild spice wise. All great flavors in the meats which include 2 choices of fajitas, pork, chorizo, 3 different chicken options, and beef! A great pace to go! Service was a bit slow but there was only one guy working the whole front, and did so with a huge smile!

Absolutely delicious! Loved making whatever I wanted and there was everything you can imagine to choose from. The food was fresh and hot! Loved the guacamole and green sauce! If you like margaritas you even get 1 included with your meal! Very highly recommended! We definitely will be back!

The restaurant building is a little run-down, but don’t let that fool you. The food is really good.
