I was passing through The Dalles and we decided to stop here for some lunch. As we get back on the freeway my daughter bites into her burger and notices an odd taste. She looks down and see mold on her bread! My burger also had mold. We did return the food and received a full refund. The staff was very nice and apologetic but the assistant manger did mention that sometimes when they get bread deliveries, they notice mold on some of the bread. Double check your burger before you eat it!

Pass through the Dalles twice a week with my elderly mother and we usually eat here because we love the sour dough jack meal. We got our meal yesterday, it tasted ok, not great as previous times. About 2 hours later I was sicker than ever, toilet got my lunch and whatever else wasn’t securely attached to my insides and my poor mother was in worse condition than me. She was up half the night. Took her to the Dr this morning and was told to keep a close eye on her as it was most likely food poisoning and could be more serious for an elderly person to suffer

Dining room was apparently closed but there was no sign up. They kept the doors to lobby locked. I tried calling to ask if they were open because we could see employees inside. But they never answered the phone. After 5 tries we decided to attempt the drive thru. We sat there (trapped between cars) for almost 10 minutes before someone started answering back on the headset and began taking orders.

I decided to get a Bacon burger to go and had never tried Jack in the Box before. I was at the front of the line immediately after walking in, as it wasn’t very busy. My burger and fries were ready in about 5 minutes and I was out the door. I ate the meal on my drive back to HR. I liked the burger just fine, but I especially liked the nice and chewy buns. All in all, not bad for fast food.
