The chips were house made and so was the hot salsa.

I am giving this place 3 stars only because costumer service was good and it was authentic Mexican food. The only negatives were in the actual cooking of the food, I ordered a bone in steak asked for it to be medium rare and got a well done steak, we also ordered tripa tacos and the meat was over cooked. My problem is they give you the food but not the way you asked for it to be cooked.

Love the food but I have to quit going due to the scented sprays they use being so strong. I have ended up with a migraine the last few times I’ve been, today included. If that kind of thing doesn’t bother you, then 100% you need to try Habaneros!

The only time I’ve ever heard of a Mexican restaurant charging for chips and salsa is when you don’t order any other food. I guess I should have suspected something when the server asked if I wanted chips and salsa. I thought it was an odd question but shrugged it off. I won’t bash the chips and salsa because I recognize that it may be only my preference they didn’t meet. I prefer thin, crispy chips where theirs are thick and hard. I wasn’t too impressed by the salsa either but, again, that may just be me.

The food was AMAZING! Not the easiest if you don’t know your way around Spanish speaking places, the menu was in Spanish as well. They have a bar attached to the restaurant, make sure you know what side your going into. I’m not a big drinker but freaking A, hands down best drink I’ve had in awhile!! It was called a TRASH CAN, beware its a sneaky one. Totally worth the price not the place I wanna bring my kids but I did see children. Didn’t see a child’s menu either. Perfect for Date Night !!

Tried to make a reservation at this place and they said they could not guarantee that they would be able to seat us. This made no sense to me! It’s okay, we went to Jaliscos instead and they happily served our party with no issues.

Arrived at this restaurant an hour before they closed only to be turned away and told “we are closed” and the owner’s daughter wanted to argue with me to start with that it was 11 o’clock. I said ma’am, it wasn’t even 10 o’clock when we walked in. It was 9:59 – and they wouldn’t serve us. After leaving I called to talk to the manager to see if we could figure out if maybe the girl at the counter might have been wrong or that there was something being missed in translation- which is a whole different matter because the manager couldn’t speak English so we was literally no help whatsoever. He did however tell his daughter to tell me the kitchen was closed because “not enough customers to keep open” all while the place was lit up like a Christmas tree with blaring music and people stuffing their faces at nearly every table. I wish I could give lower than 1 star because this was one of “those” experiences you only get at truly horrible businesses.
