Recently, I ate at Mi Casa. A local Ellicott City family atmosphere Mexican restaurant. I chose them because they’re one of the few Mexican restaurants in the area that serves tamales which are a favorite of mine. While I did enjoy their large beef tamale, I was a little disappointed that beef was the only variety of tamale they served. Also have the chicken and beef chimichanga meal which was just okay. I enjoyed their mango margarita even though it was a little on the small side and not the normal margarita style glass that I look forward to. All of the staff was very friendly and attentive.

When I walked in, I was seated immediately. Gave a really good vibe of Mexican Cuisine, just as much as the food did! I ordered the Chicken Enchiladas, and it was so amazing! Every flavor burst in my mouth and overall I recommend this place! If you have eaten here before and do not like it, give it a second chance!

The food was partly good. My batter-dipped poblano pepper stuffed with chicken was excellent. The standard no-flavor beans were on the side. The most irritating food was the fried ice cream. The closest the ice cream got to the fryer was 10′ as we watched it prepared through the kitchen door. They never fried it, and the ice cream had been rolled in corn chips, which had gotten chewy in the freezer. Terrible. Could you take it off the menu if you can’t fry it? Atmosphere is ehh. But the path to the restroom was, at best, dirty and unkempt. Five years ago, this place was great. Now, nobody cares.

Wow! I’m sad we only just found this place. The setting is beautiful – lovely frescos and tile work, perfect lighting (not dark). The food is amazing – so fresh and prepared quickly and expertly. And everyone working there is so kind and friendly; it felt like we were being taken care of by family. The Mi Casa Quesadilla (seafood) was so, so good. Everything was. We will definitely be back.

If you like Mexican food, Mi Casa would have to be your new go-to mexican restaurant! The restaurant gave off a really good smell and feeling. This made me feel welcome when I entered. They have been in business for 25 years, making everything fresh! I got the Mi Casa burrito, served with AMAZING beans and rice. Everything tasted authentic and I would recommend Mi Casa! 🙂

The food was over cooked. We had two meals tacos Al carbon and jack Daniels fajita. The rice tasted old and hard. The service was good. The drinks were good after telling the bartender know liquor was weak. Will give it another try but very disappointed in the food, to me it was not authentic compared to places in Laurel, Riverdale, Langley Park. Definitely not worth the price. But again will try again.
