Valentino Pizzeria Trattoria opened for business in Sarasota Florida on July 5th, 2006. Our family wanted to create a casual, family-friendly and energetic restaurant that served what we coin Grandma’s Italian Food. This simple, authentic and homemade cuisine borrows from every region of Italy, along with a little influence from our Northern New Jersey roots.

I love the pizza. The toppings are fresh and the sauce is so good. The stromboli is very good too. I had one with cheese, sausage and green peppers. You can get 2 meals out of it! The people are so friendly there.

In an area where Italian restaurants are almost as plentiful as pharmacies, Valentino’s is my favorite by far. It’s about authentic, delicious food served by friendly, efficient staff in a comfortable, unpretentious environment. I’ve probably had 50 meals from Valentino’s — lunch, dinner, takeout, dine-in, in a large group, with a friend — and my experience has always been worthy of five stars. Or five hearts!

Someone recommended Valentino for their pizza, and I wasn’t disappointed. I selected 2 different slices to try. The mushrooms tasted so fresh and the pepperoni had good flavor. They offer a great selection of pizza, entrees, sandwiches, and desserts. The employees were friendly and helpful. Shopping center parking. Looking forward to going back!

Ordered take-out. 2 small salads. 2 personal pizza’s (one with mushrooms, the other gluten-free with pepperoni. Came to a little over $52.00 — The gluten free pizza tasted like a frozen pizza from the grocery store. The rest of the food was good but I think the prices are outrageous. $18 for 4 tiny slices, really?

This place! The service is fantastic – we didn’t have to wait for anything – Holly and Lucky are incredible. The Tony Salad could have been a meal in itself. Their garlic knots are BEYOND good. White sangria – you cannot go wrong! We only had to wait 20 minutes in a Saturday night for a table for 4 – not bad at all! We go back here every time we come to Sarasota.

Ordered a simple 2 item take out order. Sauteed Mushroom pizza had 8-9 sliced mushrooms – not sautéed and very skimpy. Calzone was 2/3 normal size compared to dine in. 20 minute drive there, 30 minute wait, stone cold food! $32.00 for worse than Pizza Hut! Very poor quality. Dine in is slammed, but better food. Take out – NEVER AGAIN.
