If you are traveling down I-10 and want to eat like a local skip the chains and head to Holiday Restaurant. We have a great server in Macy who helped us pick the best options. Everyone else eating was friendly and offered their favorites from the menu. We stopped in on a Sunday and enjoyed the Sunday special. That included a drink, your meat of choice and three sides plus a choice of your favorite slice of pie!

Excessively long wait times for mediocre food. Got a little homemade looking burger and a chicken sandwich with 2 undercooked chicken strips on it. Total was 32$ somehow. Not good. I only gave 2 stars because I went there once before for the Sunday lunch and it was ok.

This is my first visit, but it certainly won’t be our last. This is the “Great American Diner” of yester-year that is alive and doing well. Service was superb. The cheeseburger was the best I’ve had in years, and the prices were better than good. I can’t wait to try their breakfast offerings. The decor is very nice and there’s no ear shattering music being blared out of cheap speakers. Just a nice place where the food is great, service was above reproach, and the atmosphere allowed for pleasant conversation at the tables.

This was a very pleasant restaurant to come across. I came in for lunch on a Sunday, and they had a Sunday lunch menu. I recommend this place, as they do have reasonable prices, friendly staff, and of course the most important reason, because the food is good. I got turkey with dressing, and the turkey was not dry. That’s one of those things that has always been a problem! Not here though.

A place locals know. Don’t let the look of the outside keep you away. Although the decor is basic and dinnerware is mostly plastic, it still feels like a mom is cooking the food. All food was cooked well and is delicious. It is a southern home-cooking family style restaurant that offers specials. If you are looking for a non-chain local place to eat in the area, it is definitely worth stopping in here.

Excellent service, excellent food. Steaks, tendor and juicy with good flavor. Room for big groups or individuals just eating a meal. Quiet atmosphere, nice evening amongst good folks. Prices good for the quality. Definitely will go back and bring folks with me. I can’t wait to taste their homeade chocolate pies.

My grandmother eats here religiously and we have been coming here for years. The food is good & we especially love the dressing on Sunday’s! My husband and I got there today at 10:40 (I know they don’t start serving lunch till 11) and we were literally one of the first 5 people there. After waiting an hour we still hadn’t got our food! During that hour the church crowd began to come in and everyone started getting their food before we did!! I was becoming irritated and when I asked our waitress to come to our table she mouthed to me that my food was coming. We waited another 20 minutes and nothing! Finally she brought out our food and I asked her how everyone else around us was already eating when we had literally been there over an hour and they just walked in. She said she really couldn’t tell me. I enjoy the food but I WILL NOT BE BACK! && I warn anyone else that goes there if they “don’t know you” you will not be a priority.
