Amazing is only a starting place for how good the food was. My girl friend and I both had the tenderloin with mashed potato and kale. It was perfectly cooked. The kale and potato had just the right amount of garlic and other light but perfectly balanced flavor. Almost forgot about the fantastic salad. It was perfect. Tomatoes that taste like a tomato… sounds funny until you try theirs. Drinks were also very good. She got a Buffalo Trace Bourbon Old Fashion that was hand muddled. It was so good she had 2. I was driving so had only one good micro brew. The waitress was very help full and knowledgeable about all the food choices. Conclusion… amazing food, great service and good drinks. We will be back! If you are questioning weather to stop or not I would highly recommend the Driftless Cafe. PS. Try the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry…more like a good cheesecake than “normal” cake. Amazing also!

Fancy local food off the beaten path. Nice folks. Great attention to detail. There was a bit of a wait for the beer garden, but they were able to seat me at the bar immediately.

Amazing culinary experience- on par with any restaurant, anywhere in the world (based upon our dish selection). To top if off- it is all local food with a story, in an awesome historic building, and great staff. Bravo! We’ll definitely return and enthusiastically recommend!

Don’t miss this place. Make a reservation. Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Pork loin was perfect, and the tomato rice it was paired with was a flavor combo so luxurious I couldn’t stop eating it, though it was more than filling. The atmosphere is elegant but the vibe is very casual and comfortable.

The food was fresh, they update their menu daily. We had the specialty salad, gluten-free meat pizza, and topped it all off with the flourless chocolate cake with raspberry puree all of which were absolutely amazing. I will be thinking about that chocolate cake for years.

Stopped for a late lunch. I had heard good things. I was seated promptly. Nice atmosphere. Very clean. Many diners. Neighboring table had desserts, which looked amazing.

The Driftless Cafe came highly recommended to us by friends, and our lunchtime visit did not disappoint. The falafel were some of the best I’ve tasted, and it’s accompaniments made for a satisfying bite. I am excited to return and order dishes from their dinner menu.

Such a cool little place! The food is amazing! We had the baked mac and cheese( so cheesy and delicious) My husband had the double cheeseburger with smoked bacon, which was cooked perfectly (medium rare) Amazing! Everyone was so friendly and very welcoming. Definitely would go back!

We stopped in to the Driftless Cafe for lunch, and it was our favorite meal on our trip to Viroqua. We got the loaded grilled cheese with French fries and the seasonal summer stir fry. Both were incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was artsy and cozy, and we loved the local nods to the community. This was the perfect spot for lunch!

Wonderful dinner with beef, shrimp and grits and the coolest stuffed cabbage dish ever. Hyper local ingredients and an awesome server wearing a kilt.
