This place is actually not bad. They got some really nice specialty rolls. However, every last item on their 3 people platter has imitation crab in it. Also, when we ordered our platter did not come with any ginger or wasabi, so we had to go to the store and buy it. I would recommend you order individual items, and also maybe just go and dine in (haven’t done that myself though).

I really like this restaurant. I ordered take out twice and both times were excellent. The rock shrimp came hot and the rolls were so fresh and juicy. Highly recommend.

Great staff they are super attentive! The food is ok, a lot of it has great flavor but some of the more seafood seafood things I. The buffet was a little lacking. All the chicken and beef dishes were flavorful and tender though. Sushi is great a small selection but great. Over all a wonderful dining experience!

My go to sushi delivery in dc! The rolls are fresh and well packed and it’s a good value. I especially like the shrimp tempura roll and angry dragon roll. The sashimi is good quality too! Highly recommend Umi!

Easily one of my favorite sushi/Japanese restaurants in DC. Near the National Zoo by the Woodley metro this is a true neighborhood gem with great quality with fresh ingredients and they do not hold back on the meat, plus friendly staff.

Not what they used to be maybe they lost the original cook or cheaper imitation ingredients but they are definitely hurting my Teriyaki Shrimp stirfry came dry with a side of sauce (gook that had thicken while sitting) I guess Im supposed to finish stirfrying it myself. The tuna roll mush everything everywhere is different. Ugh!

I was really craving some good sushi!!! That being said, my favorite is Uni. I called around town and finally found a place that had california uni sea urchin. I ordered 1 Unagi ( Eal ) Nigiri, 2 Uni (Sea Urchin) Nigiri, 2 California Rolls w/ Dbl Tobiko & 1 Avacado Roll. My belief was that I could sit down and have a really nice early dinner with my mother. Incorrect, I couldnt, my bad I guess I shouldve asked, but really It should’ve been told to me by the hostess when we spoke on the phone. Anyway, I decided to go ahead and do take out. The lady at the door was very kind and explained the whole COVID thing, OK fine you get a pass, that was my thought process. We received our to go order within 15 mins or so. Astetically, everything seemed to be fine. However, as soon as I ate my first peice of Uni I knew immediately that it was spoiled. So was the rest of the Urchin, badly. So spoiled u could smell it upon closer examination. The eal was lackluster but edible. Then I got to my California Rolls. The first two peices were edible, however the third had spoiled artificial crab meat. DO YOU KNOW how long it takes for that protein to spoil.??? A VERY VERY long time.! I wasn’t even going to write a review, but I’m sorry I paid something like $70 for sushi I literally shoveled up in my arms and threw in the trash. How absolutely disrespectful and dangerous to serve spoiled UNI to my elderly mother and I. Dishonorable is all that comes to my mind. SMH
