Made a detour to have lunch here and it was so worth it. The Brisket sandwich and some potato salad. Oh my gosh. This sandwich is so good can stand not to have sauce on it. A very big sandwich served here in a time when others have gone smaller. Very very glad we came here. Sure hope to return.

We needed a quick stop but wanted to try the local flavor. This was a great option. There are many delicious BBQ options as well as tasty home style sides that are served up quickly. There are a few picnic tables outside but many folks were doing a pick up to carry out. The service is friendly. It was fun chatting with other travelers waiting in line to order. Note: Cash only. The Marathon just up the road has an ATM.

Highway institution just over the KY State line. Excellent bbq and the potato salad, baked beans, and coleslaw are all equally good. Just $2 more if you want all three. You might wait a few minutes as it is usually busy, but that’s just because it’s so good! The wait will be outside under cover but otherwise in the elements. We rarely pass without stopping
