They charged a $10 cover charge just to enter at 6:00pm starting it was for live band entertainment however there was no live band until after 7:00pm after we had received our check. There are 2 sides to the restaurant (R&B and Jazz) however the Jazz side smelled like raw sewage and was too rank to sit on. I asked employees about the smell and they said the bathroom always backs up. They were out of several menu items already at 6pm. The waitress was nice but completely uninformed about 97% of the menu items. We had to ask for the actual bartender and chef to get any questions answered about drinks and food The chef came out very dirty and with a grimey backpack.

The food is really good. We started with the hot crab dip. For entrees, I had the blackened catfish with red beans and rice and my wife had the fried catfish with sweet potato fries. Mine was excellent and my wife said the sweet potato fries were the best she’s ever had. Only complaint is that one of her catfish filets was perfect while the other had water or grease between the batter and the fish

What a night. I don’t drink, so I usually don’t want to stay at these kinds of places long but the singing was good all night with multiple acts. It was surprisingly better quality entertainment than I was giving it. I was singing along with everything and ordering drinks left and right. I had just eaten, but after a few drinks, they have quite a few things that you may want to try so we got some Cajun fries and sweet potato fries, which were great. Indoor and outdoor w/ late night accommodations. Initially I disliked the $10 plus tax or credit card fee squalling about $12.25 a person just to get in. I’m hoping they adequately pay everyone but I do appreciate it and I know they have two sides . Maybe both sides can be packed but really only one side was and the jazz side was empty. I hear they expanded so maybe they have plans to better merge the two to maximize or things may already be working out. I had a great time frfr. If you come out in Dallas or anywhere really, you’re going to spend money. It all adds up pretty fast as we were there for 3 hours + and I never rushed to leave. 5-Star night. Great service and speed. Great location.

3.25.23 If you’re looking for live music, jazz, a chill atmosphere, some delicious Cajun food, then I recommend this spot. Live music till 2am. The music is pretty loud so just know that it’s hard to carry a conversation. In between band sets, there’s a variety of R&B music. The band does engage the audience with clapping, singing, dancing. There’s a little bit of dancing by patrons as the night goes on and in between sets. I sat indoors but it’s wide open so as the night chilled, it would have been good to bring a sweater. I was a little cold after midnight. There is a patio and bar seating as well. I’m allergic to shrimp. And if you don’t eat pork/sausage, there’s limited menu options. They made a delicious veggie pasta and the crawfish etouffee had a nice kick. The fried pickles were tasty with a great crunch, not too greasy. Their cheesecake was smooth and very good; and I’m not even a fan of cheesecake. Nearby Meter parking charges till midnight Monday through Saturday through an app, otherwise the nearby parking garage option was $25. There’s also a nearby parking lot under the highway, cost unknown. Budget enough time to find parking because it could take 15-30 minutes or more. Cover charge was $10. Dinner ran about $20-25 per entree. Check it out and I hope you have a great time!

The food is good. I got the shrimp, 1 Bud Light and a water, more customers and fewer waiters, and service is slow do to this. I recommend getting more waiters, and this will be a great spot. The live stage performance was entertaining! I recommend swinging by and getting your own experience!

I wasn’t impressed honestly! The fact that we had to pay a $10 cover charge just to get in and then get see any live jazz then we order our food and everything looks great on the menu we get our crawfish and chicken pasta pasta sauce had zero flavor. The hot crab dip had zero flavor just was cheese, cream cheese, and crab. The bread literally was only toasted on one side and the other side was cold bread I don’t like wasting food, so yes, I took it and I had to take it home and add some old bay and pepper to the hot crab dip. The pasta have to add a little old bay just really unseasoned food for it to be a creole restaurant! Honestly could’ve went to Pappadeaux’s spent less money and enjoy my food!

The food was GREAT! If you’re looking for flavor…you’ll definitely find it here! Just the right amount of spice not overwhelming at all…Yes sir! I’ll come back on my next trip to Dallas! The atmosphere was very nice…if we could’ve turned the band down a few notches it would’ve been perfect!!!!

I like the free man. I always have fun here. First time ordering food and had the red beans and rice. It’s too spicy to enjoy but the cornbread was very good. The bartender was kind enough to remove it from my bill without asking. She noticed it barely at it so she took the initiative to just remove it. The band was really good. I’d recommend and go again
