Best African Restaurant I’ve ever experienced! It’s a modern mom and pop hole in the wall. My boyfriend, Tyler has a gluten allergy. They are very knowledgeable about everything that goes into each meal. The owner’s son served us. He walked my 8 year old through each item and explained what it was with patience and professionalism. This is a must try anytime you’re in the Omaha area.

Service is personable and professional. Food is flavorful with a range spiciness. Love the plantains and spinach sauce. Price is on point. So glad that we stopped by before returning to Queen Sheba in Sacramento, CA.

It was my first time trying African food. The owner, Nina, took the time to explain to me that her food is from western Africa. She was very kind. Her food was so delicious and fresh. I like that it’s like a deli style and ready right away. I will definitely become a regular customer.

The food was amazing! Plenty of choices and the service was fast. You build your own plate or you can choose from some options already made. They have parking available in front of the restaurant. This was our first time there and we really enjoyed everything we tried! Absolutely recommended!

We tried African food for the first time and I am such a picky eater and I loved it! They have so many flavor options and things to try. I wish we would have tried it sooner! So wonderful! Definitely recommend! They had spicy options and sweet options and savory options. I got the red rice and chicken and corn and garlic potatoes with the peanut sauce and tomato sauce on the side to dip in and try out. The boys were more adventurous and also loved their meals, surf and turf and a lamb bowl. Even the chicken strips and fries were a hit! You cannot go wrong here! We will be back and you need to try it ASAP!!! Don’t be like me and not try something new, because this is sooooooo good!

After being poorly served in another African restaurant and having a horrible first experience with Fufu with Egusi. I decided to give it another try and came to Okra Africa Grill and was completely satisfied! Staff is patient, friendly, don’t mind giving you the run down on their dishes without getting annoyed with the “TikTok” hype on fufu. I was originally going to go for the Fufu with goat soup due to the experience I had yesterday with Fufu with Egusi, but went with their fufu with lamb egusi as they recommended and could not believe the dish I had yesterday was the same as the one I had today. NIGHT DAY.

Loved everything we had. The rice dumplings were a little like rice bao buns, puffy and lightly sweet, excellent for dipping in the peanut sauce. That peanut sauce is addictive. The steak was a little dry but was so good with the different sauces that I didn’t mind at all. Portions are generous but not crazy. I highly recommend trying this restaurant and look forward to trying more dishes!

Pro tip, order Nina’s ginger lemonade. I’m leery on ginger and not a fan of lemonade, but id do this drink because it’s a great combination. It also goes very well with the lamb bowl that i ordered. I think generally it would go well with most of the items though I’d need to try them.

It was a pleasure to stop by and check this place out. Ms. Sodji and I had a pretty indepth conversation about Togo and ancestry and since i was passing through Omaha she also suggested some parks and lakes nearby. It was good to see her son helping with the business(He took my order, explained everything thoroughly), and the food was delicious!!!! I created a bowl with Kellogg rice, black-eyed peas, plantains, sweet corn, fried okra and topped with ngwesi stew… The ginger lemonade was just right, strong but not over powering..Definitely a must if your looking for good African food and good vibes!!!
