First: our server went above and beyond. He brought me a special green salsa to try with the meal.

Still the Best Mexican Restaurant in San Marcos. Might be my favorite Tex Max Anywhere. Family owned and operated. I went when I was a college student and now my daughter is going to TXST and this is her new favorite.

First time here, server asked us twice if we were ready to order without handing out the menu at all we asked for corn tortillas, it was forgotten to give it with the plate, and when it was given..they were flour asked for a spoon…never got it Didn’t like their food at all, rice, or chicken (too dry). Only thing I liked about the restaurant was the pictures/decorations inside. This was probably the worst restaurant I’ve ever been in (based on food)

Que rico! This is a little hole in the wall restaurant in a residential neighborhood, not far from I-35.

Great spot! Very friendly folks and delicious food. I had the tamale dinner, small queso, and horchata. Everything was delicious but the gravy was the standout.

Ok so this is a very strange little spot. It’s situated right inside a neighborhood and the building just looks like someone’s house but it’s a full restaurant inside. Just follow Google’s instructions and you’ll find the place. This is one of those odd, out of the way places that we have found that has some of the best food you can find.
