The older owner still whines and whines about his business that turn a turn decades ago, but recently refused to honor a lunch special price for a regular customer because it was 10 minutes after the designated time. Too bad because the food was so consistent and good for decades, even the tried and true Pad Thai and enormous stuffed chicken wings – delicious, fragrant and seasoned perfectly. He should retire, turn it over to the young guys relative, who knows that service is as important as food.

The food was flavorful and the portions were fair. The Thai ice tea was was sweet and Yummy. I loved the white rice, it was cooked to perfection. I had the wonton soup and it had a nice flavor. It had ground chicken, which tasted quite good.

Best rice noodle ever. Vegetarian Tom kar with tofu was delicious and refreshing with fresh vegetables. The water was super helpful and polite.

Sorry to say, the food was awful, ordered Mongolian beef the beef was like leather, the Orange chicken was soggy. The rice was hard, Chow Mein had an aftertaste , Tom-Kar was very salty, Chicken Satay I want to tell you what that taste like! Last one Gang Ga- Ree Kai another one we don’t want to talk about. Again, sorry to say had some friends over and everybody gave it a thumbs down. One friend said panda express is a lot better than this. Called and spoke to the manager. He thought it was funny.

Wonderful, affordable and authentic Thai food in a low-key setting. Family owned business from 1985, so if it survived this long, it really means something. The staff (owners) and service are amazing, very helpful, humble and down to earth people, serving traditional dishes – it really feels good eating here, and I always happily come back. Thank you Emerald Thai Cuisine! And I hope you’ll stick around for a long time!

Service was quick, but I did have to find the condiments, food missed on everything I got, veggies were bland, duck was all bone and tempura along with the Thai iced tea were the best part. Parking was difficult.

I come to visit family here in Culver City and order takeout at least a handful of times! Just tried the spicy tofu salad and the soft shell crab papaya salad and both are my new immediate favorites. The thai iced tea is also a classic and really well made here!

I don’t know what is going on when I visit, but the food here is incredibly bland compared to neighboring Thai places, except at the same price. Wonton soup tastes like water. Not to mention, the plastic cap literally melted into my gobi curry sauce.

My parents have been bringing me here since I was 1 year old. It is the best Thai food on the west side and has been family owned and operated just as long! We love The Emerald!
