i’ve heard amazing things about this restaurant and i have to admit i was not disappointed,this is a family oriented business although it is a franchise,i had to get the chicken wings because they are always raved about,i also got the shrimp fried rice and 4 egg rolls,i was pleased with the food and staff,the staff was extremely friendly and helpful,the business was clean and inviting,the bathroom was very clean and it was handicap accessible,if you’re in Baton Rouge make sure you visit The Blue Store Chicken on Old Hammond Hwy

Went here for lunch early after 10:30 thinking it has to be fresh they just opened at 10am. Wrong! Ordered wings, two egg rolls and three potato logs. Gross chicken had to either be fried in old grease or re dipped. Dark with an almost burnt flavor. The egg rolls looked like they were from the day before and dropped in grease. Iv been eating from the blue store for years but i will not visit this particular location again. I wish I had taken a photo of the chicken

The best Chicken Wings, Fried Rice and Egg rolls around town. Not only was the food piping hot and fresh. But the owners and employees were super nice and helpful. 5 Stars all around.

We stopped by thinking this location was the same as the others and was not pleased. The chicken had no flavor, not floured correctly and the logs weren’t seasoned. Additionally, We ordered egg rolls they were fried as we waited and ended up being over cooked and no flavor . By the time we left there were 5 cars in the parking lot and I couldn’t understand why they wanted that chicken. Highly disappointed.

The people were friendly the chicken was hot and fresh chicken. Prices were good and the wait was not long. I had 6 regular wings (because they do have party wings) as well fries, a roll and drink. I spent $10 only because I left the girl at the counter $1 and change for a tip. They are going to get tired of me. They do have other locations on Highland Rd. and Plank Rd.

Someone’s g-ma is back there frying that chicken. I’m visiting from Texas and a few people told me I need to try this place…. wasn’t pressed, but I went. This is what fried chicken is supposed to taste like! God bless whoever’s back there cookin’!
