Astonishingly good seafood for a place hundreds of miles from the nearest ocean. Great old-school vibe. Attention to detail: the host found a minor blemish on the table when seating us and quickly returned with a moist towelette to clean it. Server was terrific and made a great recommendation for the swordfish with corn salsa and Jamaican jerk seasoning. It was, in a word, incredible. Reasonably priced wine with an expansive list if you want to get crazy.

One of my favorite places to eat for special occasions, such as birthdays Mother’s Day date night, etc. One would suggest making reservations, but not always necessary. It is a longtime family owned business with delicious food. My favorite is always the filet duo. My family likes the Chilean Seabass and Tasmania salmon. Comes with a side and salad and warm rolls. Can’t beat it!

The Fish House definitely is a family favorite. Fresh and beautifully prepared fish and seafood and always a fun Special Catch. Our daughter’s favorite is the grilled Salmon. Appetizer favorites are the smoked Oysters for sure. We do order the Pistachio encrusted Seabass a lot as well as the Neptune Platter which is our son’s favorite and offers a great selection of fish, lobster and seafood. Service has been outstanding every time we go! Interior design could use a bit of modernization.

Great place as always! Service was great and the food is always top notch! Oysters Rockefeller is amazing with the cheese topping and huge oysters! Shrimp seem fresh and the Surf and Turf dinner with a great filet and prawns were exceptional! Thank you as always!

For an entree, I had the Cajun prawns (pictured) with steamed broccoli and clam chowder soup. Prawns = good. Broccoli = great. Soup = middle of the road. My wife had the crab stuffed shrimp and liked it. Prices were average/fair. My barrel aged old fashion was very good but a bit on the small size for the large price. Our waiter new the menu very well and described the preparation of the dishes very well. I asked a lot of questions and gave him a run for his money. He has good personality. $120 pre tip for the two of us with two drinks each and the fried alligator (good) for an app ($ value – hence the 3 stars). We will give it one more try before adding it to our list of regular Peoria venues. We like the atmosphere. Don’t change that!

Brought my boyfriend here to celebrate a promotion and we were very excited to give it a try as our first time there. We got fried alligator, the fried seafood platter, and Tuscan chicken. The alligator was mostly tiny pieces of breading but what bit of meat there was, was very rubbery. The crab cake was overcooked, the shrimp, tilapia, and scallops had zero flavor and were dripping wet as if they were still defrosting. The Tuscan sauce was very bland and the chicken breasts were small, barely warm and very dry with hardly any charbroiled flavor. For the price of everything, you’d think there would have been more flavor, larger portions and better quality. We could have gotten better quality seafood from Texas road house, and for less money. The waitress was nice and tried to be accommodating by offering a free dessert, but we were so upset and that didn’t seem sufficient. They comped the $10 gator and $7 worth of drinks. We barely ate our food and STILL paid $70. We’re not really ones to complain much when out to eat but wow this was just… bad. Never coming here again. Such a let down.

For the price the food is mediocre and cocktails were average at best. Overcooked fish, bland seafood. The blue cheese dressing was decent though.
