As always, The Royal Tern was a wonderful experience. Our bartender/server was attentive and knowledgeable. The BBQ shrimp is a must for a starter! My wife had the Filet and really enjoyed it. That being said, nothing topped the Fried Soft Shell Crab over Shrimp Scampi Linguine! I wish they could have this on the menu all year round.

Lovely space and the food was good. There was no table cloth on our table. Even high top tables should have a table cloth when dining in an upscale restaurant. There definitely needs to be more diversity in terms of the staff. No diversity combined with stares from the waitresses and hostesses can affect the dining experience.

I probably eat dinner at the Royal Tern at least once a month. Every dish on their menu is excellent (trust me, I’ve eaten them all). I consider the royal tern oysters to be one of my favorite bites of food. I order them every time I dine here. My other favorites include the beef tartare, the curry shrimp appetizer, the yeast rolls, and the lobster poke.
