Rye knot was a huge space… very clean large place. They had many gluten free options and cook their fries in tallow. My shaved steak sandwich was a little tough to chew but the gluten free bread was good. The best part was the crispy gf French fries and the maple Burbon crème Brulé was fantastic.

We enjoyed our late lunch here. Some of the food was high sodium but overall all delicious. The portions were great too. We especially loved the atmosphere, cleanliness, layout and decor. We’ll be back to order from the dinner menu.

Beautiful spot nestled on a busy spot in downtown Asheville. I was in a spicy mood, so I had the buffalo battered shrimp (appetizer as my entree), and tallow fries, very good. Spouse had a shaved boneless ribeye sandwich and tallow fries. He wasn’t pleased and said it could use more seasoning. I had a margarita that was spicy and delicious hit the spicy spot I needed! Hubby had a barrel aged stout and an Asheville IPA. A bit pricey for the two of us, two entrees, and three adult beverages, tax and tip $90. I think the prices are a bit much but with everything being so expensive it’s to be expected. I’m glad we tried it, Asheville has a plethora of great places, and I am here for it. Great time had with our party of eight.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon. Enjoyed a drink at the bar and sampled a flight which included their rye whiskey, bourbon, dark rum and vodka made on site in their own distillery. Will definitely go back next time I am visiting Asheville.

My sister and I drove up from Hendersonville just to check this place out. It did not disappoint! My sister had the smoked meatloaf and I had a salad with grilled chicken. The portions were generous and the food was delicious! They have a tabletop shuffle board and we played for hours. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The owner even came and chatted with us and even played a round of shuffle board with me. I would give thus place 10 stars if I could! I will definitely be coming back!

My entire experience was colored by the most unprofessional actions I have ever encounter in a restaurant! I had a lovely meal there last week and was so impressed with my dish that I ordered it again. This time it was uneatable. I reported it to the server who offered to take off the price to the glass of wine I had. I declined and asked to have the price of my entree removed. She said she was not empowered to make that decision and said she would speak to the owner. When she returned she informed me that the owner said he was unwilling to do anything and she could not even comp the glass of wine. I will not return and I will tell everyone I know about my experience ensuring that they will no longer dine there also. This is NOT the way to run ant eating establishment, especially a “neighborhood” one.
