Karinas Ceviche, We usually go there and to the other Karinas locations for so many years, since they were located in Broadway in Chula Vista, food is delicious, but this time we ordered karinas ceviche it was more cucumber then Shrimp, we comment about the problem to the waitress, She said that she was going to talk to the person who prepares food, she told us that they weighted the cucumber but I guess they only weighed the cucumber not shrimp, it looked that they only put like 5 pieces of shrimp cut in to little tiny pieces. She told us that if we wanted to buy extra shrimp ♀️. Why paying extra?? We were disappointed this time.

My mom and I visited Karina’s at this location for the first time and I can say it was a good experience. We ordered Salmon and a 7 mares caldo and both plates were delicious. Service was excellent. Our server kept on coming by to ask if we needed anything. We will be back when in the area.

Brought my aunt and her boyfriend from out of town here and I felt kind of bad for the service we got.. first we ordered a dozen oysters, they were pretty fresh so I will give them that! The chips and salsa came out after we had already been seated for 20 minutes.. the oyster tray stood on the table after we were done with them and ice melted from it and leaked everywhere.. we kept asking for napkins before the waitress finally decided to come get it.. we got two orders of Pulpo a Las Brasas with shrimp. They were pretty good but not the best I’ve had, I think this places quality had gone down a lot since Covid.. when we ordered our food they asked us if we wanted corn or flour tortillas but when they brought out food out, we had to ask for the tortillas.. and they o my gave us two.. and they were over cooked..

Came all the way from AZ on a trip with my familia and happened to give this place a try, I wish we woulda’ just kept on driving! The food was not even edible, being Raza and having a mexican restaurant HOW CAN U PROVIDE THE GENTE WITH FOOD THIS BAD? I had the mar y tierra burrito (shrimp and steak) and the shrimp was raw, the steak extremely chewy and the entire thing was cold…the rice was white and mushy with cold peas. My wife had just as bad an experience as I did, she ordered the red chicken enchiladas and the sauce tasted worse than canned, the chicken was cold and bland, all dark meat and the tortillas were so hard and crispy that she couldn’t cut through them, she had to use FORCE to saw through them. Both platos were cold and flavorless, just like the staff that waited on us. And the prices are outrageous…I wouldn’t recommend tis place to NO ONE…one more thing, even the chips and salsa were gross, tasted like they used old oil to cook stale chips and the salsa you can tell had tomato paste and oregano in it

I brought my toddler for dinner. came at 4PM, there was not a lot of customers. There is no seat or wait to be seated sign in the left hand entrance – so we sat ourselves. In plain view, the owner/manager saw us seat ourselves. Men in different groups came in after my daughter and I and they were seated and given menus, their order was taken and they were treated like a guest should be. But my daughter and I? I had to stand and wait for a server to finally acknowledge me. Told me there was a 30 min wait? As the other servers were getting orders and handing out menus to folks who came in and sat AFTER us.

The most affordable seafood prices that you will find with great food quality. I recommend to start with tacos de pescado and then try the Karina’s Ceviche, and pair it with a blended Mango Margarita. I’m not sure what the other reviews about the staff but my experience with them was great. I think you need to be nice in order to be treated nice here.

Seafood is delicious but the ribeye steak didn’t look like usual ribeye cut. The Mexican rice was a lil on the bland side. I would go back for the Seafood but not the steak

This place is nicely situated viewing Highland Ave right in the heart of National City. I must say the staff were very friendly and very helpful in helping narrow down the menu to a wide selection of food. The food was amazingly delicious, and tasty. The only downside was that they close way to early.
