I stopped by on Friday with a friend of mine. She wasn’t really hungry so she asked me to order her Natural Cut Fries and Potato Salad. I ordered myself, Half Chicken and Mac N Cheese. I had to wait a bit to get help, but I was understanding because I’ve worked restaurants before. Mrs. Calhoun’s (owner) took my order then I sat in a table. After she helped few customers behind me, she asked me if I wanted an additional plate since she noticed I came with my friend. I said yes, and thank you. People kept coming in to order and others were waiting on their orders. I immediately knew this place was going be good. Once she brought our food, she noticed the table was a bit dirty so she immediately cleaned it herself before giving us our food. I loved the BBQ flavor sauce and the chicken was tender. The Mac N Cheese had black pepper and good cheese texture. I also would like to mention the cup size was perfect for my feasting. I will definitely be back! She gave good service, the food is flavorful. Even my friend liked the food a lot. I plan to go again and this time take my sister and mom with me. I hope and know that in the near future Calhoun’s Family Texas BBQ will get a bigger location so there is more seating. I will definitely be able take my siblings and their kiddos. But in the meantime I might just need place a catering order and just let my family try it here at the house, no matter what Calhoun’s Family is serving our communities with flavorful BBQ meals, good heart and staying strong through it all. Thank you for my first time experience and everything your doing to keep going with STRENGTH. ❤️

This is obviously a local favorite because there was a non-stop stream of locals picking up take-out orders. We had the sampler plate, and now we understand. Ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken, and great sides. My picture doesn’t do the quantity justice because I started small and finished good. We will be back for some sweet potato pie.

I went to this restaurant for the first time today. It did not disappoint. Their prices are reasonable, they give you plenty of meat, along with good/friendly service. My grandson got the pull pork sandwich and I got the 2 sliders, one with pork and the other with brisket. The best BBQ I’ve had since moving to California. They have won me over. I will be going back.

The food is great! Brisket flavorful and juicy, hot links aren’t too spicy but has a kick, potato salad is light and creamy and not filled with celery to make it seem like more, baked beans-yum! They have brisket baked in them too to add even more flavor. Got to try the Mac and cheese since it’s Friday and loved that too, they don’t seem all greasy like some macs and is peppery. Even the sliders are packed with meat- got the pulled pork and it was super nice not just having a bun of fat.

The Calhoun Family has the special power when they cook their amazing food. The BBQ Chicken is so Smokey, delicious, and one the most godly meal I ever eaten. I just happened to stumble on this place and I’m so glad I did. The best barbecue I’ve had since I left Texas! The ribs are big, meaty, and tender and falling off the bone. The links had great flavor. The sides are great. This is my new favorite restaurant in the area.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Calhoun’s Family Texas Barbeque and I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! I tried the baby back ribs, and they were so tasty that I couldn’t stop eating them. The meat was perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful. The sides were also amazing, especially the baked beans and potato salad. I will definitely be coming back here soon to try more items on the menu. If you’re a fan of barbecue, I highly recommend giving Calhoun’s a try. You won’t be disappointed!

My taste buds have never been so excited. The chicken is by far the best. Mac n cheese Fri-Sat is simply amazing. First visit to this family friendly establishment was nothing less than inspiring. You can always tell when food is prepared and cooked with lots of love.
