Perched where land meets sea on the shores of Mission Bay, Tidal is a San Diego outdoor restaurant that offers a thoughtful dining selection of local flavors and craft beverages that, like the ever changing tides, shift seasonally at Mother Nature’s whim.
Set in what was a private beach house in the 60s, this San Diego restaurant’s mid-century modern design draws from the era it was built by Hollywood producer Jack Skirball. A fire pit-dotted deck, communal tables, cozy lounge and savory menu of shared plates beckon casual group gatherings and lively conversation - though the 180° views of Mission Bay might just leave you at a loss for words.
Rustic & relaxed spot for Californian-inspired seafood & meat dishes amid communal tables. Based on 340 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.2 stars. Price $

We came down to escape the heat and stayed at this property. Initially we were hesitant to make a reservation at Tidal. The negative reviews were a concern. Well fear not, our experience was 5 star in all areas.

We live in SD and went for Valentines Day, it was great. The cocktails were very special and we were impressed. Our waitress was a delight and the food was delicious. We decided to come back and sit on the patio for sunset soon, can’t wait to return!

The setting is great along with the food and service. We were there celebrating our anniversary. The waiter really made a point to make it a special experience for us. Seated with a great view of the bay and amazing sunset. Short ribs & salmon wash delish.

The setting is stunning, being right on the water. The service is great and there was also live guitar music which made for a relaxing, romantic ambience.

I have eaten at Tidal twice, the first being a pleasant dinner years ago and the second being my birthday brunch with family. I’m a big fan of Paradise Point since I was a kid. Sadly this visit (restaurant only, was not staying at the resort this time) was disappointing.

There is nice place you can come with family and you can try every dishes every day has different dishes absolutely try. They have heaters on at night to keep you warm as well. Would highly recommend as a great date spot. Brunch is the best for sure, but don’t miss out on Saturday nights as it’s Pit Boss night, and their brisket disintegrates by the touch of your fork.

Tidal is a restaurant that’s only.open during certain days, but has a rotating menu by day and time. They have amazing portion sizes and the price is great as well. Flavor is there, at all aspects. The staff is really friendly and helpful with recommendations, and their seating outside has great views of the water. They have heaters on at night to keep you warm as well. Would highly recommend as a great date spot. Brunch is the best for sure, but don’t miss out on Saturday nights as it’s Pit Boss night, and their brisket disintegrates by the touch of your fork.

Today My husband & I went to this restaurant to celebrate our 27th Anniversary as we were looking to have a great time. The ambience was ok, but the food was horrible and the service was bad. I couldn’t even eat my halibut and the server refused to take it off the bill until we pressed further.

Food was good. But not great. At these prices, it should be great.
