It’s the locals #1 spot to enjoy great food and drinks. Friendly staff and management, treat regulars like family, excellent service. Clean restaurant, good atmosphere. You can’t go wrong if you like good margaritas and Mexican food. Great place to celebrate a birthday with staff and friends. Recommend the Camino Dip and the Casero chunky Guacamole to start. Shrimp soup is a must if your in the mood for soup with a slight kick to warm you up. Thankful for good Mexican food on Signal Mountain. 5 stars. We’ll be back. Probably tomorrow….just kidding…but seriously, probably tomorrow. See you there.

Oh, what a fiesta of flavors we experienced here! From the first bite to the last, our taste buds danced all night. The mouthwatering tacos and burritos, the salsa, and the heavenly cheese dip stole our hearts! ❤️ I love bringing guests and my 4 kids here!

We love El Metate – the food is always good! Margaritas yummy! Staff so friendly! Quick service! No problem waiting because it’s a friendly atmosphere with plenty to visit with if so inclined- or watch tv if not engrossed in phones. Great place overall! And thankful they support our school and community!!

Signal Mountain has only a handful of restaurants, but this particular one is undoubtedly a town favorite. It can get a bit busy after church on Sundays, but overall, it guarantees a fantastic experience with excellent service and delicious Mexican cuisine. It’s definitely a place worth visiting. Goodbye!

I love this food but the to go to containers suck. They gave me my taco salad in aluminum foil which I was not thinking apparently set it in my lap and started eating. Then I wound up having white cheese all over my pants. It looks like never mind what it looked like. You have the food you have the people but the to go containers suck .

Hidden gem, the food here was so good and our waiter Luis was superb. Huge portions for the price and the standout was the al pastor. The drinks were also fantastic and the dessert was absolutely delicious!

Atmosphere is a little loud. The bar was quiet but runs most the length of restaraunt. But clean enough. Wait staff super friendly. Quick service. I ordered vegetarian bowl. It was very flavorful with sautéed veggies beans and rice. Salsa was basic. Chips were basic.

Food is great as well as atmosphere, I’d give the service 5 stars but they get 4 instead for as my whole table ran out of drink and we had to wait for another waiter to walk by and stop him because our waitress was nowhere to be found

Lola took care of my large group close to closing time and she was more than accommodating and attentive! After mountain biking on signal, we have been here twice and have always received great service even though they’re very busy all the time. I would recommend this restaurant and especially Lola. She went above and beyond to insure we had everything we needed.
