Checked out another soul food restaurant today that was pretty good. It’s called sweet home Alabama. Now being from Georgia myself it took a minute for me to give them a try. It’s a roll tide against bulldog rivalry thing. But the owner is not a roll tide fan but a auburn tiger fan enough said I tried the smothered porkchop with rice ,fried okra and Mac and cheese everything except the Mac and cheese was slamming. It seemed like the Mac and cheese was baked with flour, wasn’t that tasty to me but it wasn’t too bad someone else’s taste buds may feel different. hence the 4.5 stars instead of 5. I highly recommend you try them out you will be pleased. Keep in mind though some of the items on thier menu are only served on certain days. In the end though it was good service and good food. Give them a try.

Definitely not worth the wait or money. I was supposed to get two pieces of fish and only got 1 full piece and like a very small piece as the second that barely had any meat all breading. No cornbread or silverware. Nothing was said over the phone about any shortage. And when I tried to call a person picked up and hung up the first time and I was finally able to get someone when I called again the second time. I was told they can’t control the size of the fish. Very poor service and food. We will not be eating here again

I heard from a few people that this place was really good especially with soul food. I want to start off by saying when I walked into this establishment I wasn’t greeted, I very confused on where menus were; and where to place my order. There was a sign in one area to place an order and register in another. This plate was $15 and honestly not even worth it. I wasn’t feeling pleased with the presentation, serving size and most importantly the flavor. This big ole pork chop had no flavor at all. I also wasn’t too happy learning collard greens were only sold on certain days, so I opted for Mac n cheese and potato salad. The Mac n cheese I suspected it to taste like any other place and it did just “mediocre”; my potato salad had more flavor than anything else on this plate. Very disappointed for the price that I paid and the plate received. I won’t be a returning customer.

The food was good, but all tasted a little the same (copious amounts of pepper on each dish). Serving sizes are very large, but I still feel like the cost is a bit high.

Great food. I had the fried chicken with greens and cabbage. Absolutely nothing bad to say about it. Your food isn’t done immediately. But perfection takes time.
