Great experience at the Farmers Table for date night. We enjoyed the outdoor seating under the sunset. We both had the cheeseburger and fries. I forgot to take any photos of it but it was good. I think they are tad heavy handed on the salt shaker. Worth visiting. They have great ice cream options too!

This spot has been open in Newport News for about 5 months now and I’m just finding out about it through co workers that have went to lunch here three times in a row. In one week and ordered the same thing every time. The Spicy Chicken sandwich. After I heard that, I knew my next meal was gonna be from here. Did not disappoint at all. Good location and it’s set up for indoor/outdoor dining.

First time here and it didn’t disappoint! Farmhouse burger was delicious. The all beef hotdog was okay. Folks I went with said their chicken sandwiches were good. They have ice cream and large cookies for sale also. Overall, I’ll come back.

This place is amazing. The burger was fantastic, one of the best I’ve had in a while. The fries were seasoned very nicely. I also got a peach shake & it was great as well. I highly recommend trying this spot. I’ll definitely be back very soon. I got the Memphis burger, she got a double cheese burger keto friendly.

Pros: Great spot, varied menu, cute decor, food was delicious and price is reasonable. There is indoor and outdoor seating and the parking lot is plenty big. The onion rings are amazing, not frozen and served with a spicy dipping sauce.

This is a pretty special spot with their quality food and the fun, homey-ness of the location. The spicy chicken sandwich, and fries, were both exceptional – so good!! All the flavors of the sandwich were awesome and really on point, and it was so crispy too. And the fries had a simple seasoning on them that went a very long way. Unfortunately, I came across a lot that I was displeased by, and much that they need to work on; it was really only the food that makes me award four stars. Although the food was very good, there were very few fries, and I wanted more when I was done. And there were supposed to be pickles on the sandwich, as well, according to the menu (there were not). But more than this, the biggest problem was how they were running the restaurant with their employees. We could only see two when we came, and only one taking orders. Being that we ordered pickup, we had to wait ten minutes just to get up there to get the food we already paid for, which was frustrating knowing it was just there getting cold – because there was only one person taking orders, seemingly doing everything. She also got every person’s drinks done right after they ordered (before she talked to any other customers), which she was oddly slow at, and it was an uncomfortable and unnecessary stretch when they were already short-staffed with a long line. Luckily, these are fairly easy fixes, that I hope they realize soon. Another factor I can’t dismiss was their prices! Everything is pretty expensive. Usually with prices like theirs, you have a nice table inside and a waiter to serve you – that would make the fast food style acceptable with their prices. But so little food presented so simply and informally does not entirely match up to the prices. Even with how good it is, I am still hesitant to want to go back, because of how expensive they are. And I know they’re extra organic and what not, but that doesn’t always make up for all of it. So to sum it up, I’m not totally sure how I feel about Farmers Table. I’m rooting for them, because I know they could end up doing extremely well, and going very far! But I am also not very motivated to stick around and keep visiting until they address some of these things.

The menu was limited to “fast food” type items, burgers, fried chicken, and fried sides. The cost was about 15 dollars for a combo, and the portion size is generous.

We were looking forward to eating at The Farmer’s Table. It was not what we expected, but that is not always bad. This was not bad, but a little disappointing. The staff was very kind and friendly. There was a line when we arrived. We were in no hurry so this was not an issue. We ordered and then went to a table. There are not very many tables on the inside. It was clean in the dining area. My husband ordered a burger and onion rings. He said it was good, but overpriced for what he considered a fast food or food truck atmosphere. There is a window to order from the outside. He enjoyed the onion rings, but said the burger was better at 1631, which we had tried the day prior. We also got the brisket and fries. It was alright, kind of tough. The slushie was excellent. The outdoor area would be fun on a warmer day.

Finally a great spot for a burger! We are very excited they decided to open a location in a central part Newport News. The beef had great flavor, with fresh toppings. Shakes were equally as good. Chicken sandwich is huge! Great food and great location!

Farmers table is a nice little spot for a quick Burger barbecue or Shake. Homemade ice cream, fresh local ground beef, very clean with staff being friendly courteous and quick. I have the brisket and onion rings and it was very good with the grilled onions and barbecue sauce. Service and food preparation was quick and hot. I will be back to try your burgers. Nice patio set up with tables heaters and umbrellas for summertime.
