We had a great experience at The Deer and The Dove! Service was super friendly. The food was excellent and beautifully presented, with a well-rounded cocktail and wine menu too. The chicken liver pâté was absolutely delicious. Leave room for dessert!

A little pricey but you pay for what you get and this was definitely top notch.. The dishes that most impressed us were the sweetbreads, the octopus and the venison which was cooked to perfection. One dish that we did not appreciated as much as the rest was the foie gras torchon which just wasn’t tasty enough maybe they went too light in the seasoning as I normally make it with my mom and we have to add enough salt and spices. The rest was all so good with great service and a charming patio. Go now because the chef just won the James beard award so it will get busy!

Wow, there’s not many restaurants with a menu like this. If you like food rusts not boring but delicious, it’s a must. I love having the plates explained as to how they were cooked and the drinks were exceptional.

Excellent experience! Our favorite and most surprising dish of the night was the burrata. The vegetables were treated beautifully and that entire dish felt complete. Amazed at the flavors it brought to our palates. All the other dishes were done very well, had good flavor, and were enjoyable to eat. We are excited to come back and try more of the dishes on the menu, especially the burrata again.

enjoyed a lovely summer meal on the patio. summer vegetable plate with sea beans was a wonderful complement to the rich whipped foie gras with grilled bread, white truffles, begonia leaves, and peach jelly. Speaking of rich and wonderful the bone marrow and snails in a demi glace sauce with capers and shave garlic over focaccia bread is worth finding parking in Decatur Square. Wine menu features Oregon and Italian reds, whites and rose. House craft cocktail are refreshing and original.
