It’s a fast food restaurant although with the A&W theme. Food is really good, the root beer is fresh, claimed to be done in the restaurant and it really taste different from the can one, much more tasty, burgers are really big and the shakes are tremendous. It’s a fast service and conveniently located inside Tanger outlet mall.

The food was good, pretty standard for an A&W so nothing new if you’re familiar with their food! However, likely because they are in such a packed shopping center, they tend to be very high traffic and as a result the restaurant was not very clean and employees seemed burnt out on the front end. Basically if you like the food and are already shopping here it’s a fine stop, but definitely better places to enjoy nearby.

My son chose A&W as the place he wanted to spend his 21st birthday. We arrived at 6:30 pm. The ice cream machines had already been shut down, eliminating his root beer float. So we bought a frosted glass mug. We were then told due to sanitary reasons, it could not be filled. So, that eliminated his root beer!! I then asked to pay with a visa, I had the information on screen shot. She declined that, saying she didn’t have the capabilities to use it. Very poor birthday experience period, let alone 21.

Stop by here. While shopping at the Tanger outlets with my wife and kids. Got a root beer float and their cream freeze. Always love having a&w root beer in a float or a freeze, especially on a hot day like this one. If you’re in the area and looking for something to cool down or just a tasty burger or a chili dog a&W’s got you covered. I would say they could stand to have a little more cleanliness and a restaurant and little friendlier staff though

If you go to this Tanger Mall, make sure to eat beforehand and don’t settle for this A&W location. The prices are ridiculously high. $3.29 for a two bite size sandwich. The polar swirl is $5.49 for a regular which is barely a small at most fast food restaurants. And they wouldn’t give a cup for water despite spending almost $26 for the two of us. Ridiculous. Don’t go here.

Went while on vacation on July 7th. The restaurant was out of root beer. Staff was not friendly/knowledgeable or kind. I ordered my burger and said I wanted cheese mayo lettuce and tomato the cashier asked 3 times how I wanted it I told her every time. I get my order and it had cheese mustard and ketchup. I take it back up there and they still didn’t understand what I wanted finally they did and they just walk to a register and brought back some change and said here keep that burger and I’ll give you lettuce and tomato. I said no I don’t like ketchup or mustard I wanted my lettuce tomato and mayo. Got the food and it was horrible. I will not be going back

Came in with my family (including my 5 month old baby) at around 6:50 pm on June 28th. Website says they close at 8 pm and we noticed there was only one other family dining so we figured we could just eat and leave in time. As soon as we walked in we were yelled at by the older man at the counter “We are CLOSED!” I mean, if they changed their hours that’s fine but he was extremely rude about it. Even if they closed at 7 we were still 10 minutes early and could have just ordered to go. Instead we were yelled at. Went to Denny’s instead and had a better experience there. Might give this location another chance if he isn’t working.

We arrived at about 6:50 despite Google stating they close at 8pm and were refused service because they were “closed” even tho we were there before 7 o clock as well and there was other people enjoying the establishment. I will not be returning due to the fact this was my first time attending this restaurant and if I’m going to be shouted at upon entering I can clearly that this establishment is problematic to say the least to customers.
