The Chico’s Tacos on Alameda are the best and today the inside was nice and clean and the tacos were delicious the juice was nice and hot that it melted the cheese just the way I remembered so if you stop going there give it another try I was really surprised I will be going back and I live on the east side and we have 2 Chico’s over here but ill be driving to Alameda from now on..

Disappointed to say the least. Can’t see what the hype is about. The food has zero flavor, sauce is so watered down you can’t even taste what it’s supposed to be. Meat from the burrito is so dry.

The atmosphere was different, more like a western diner – jukebox blaring and a country western music competing with the announcer for customers to pick up their food. Flys in the place just didn’t agree with my idea of a food establishment.

They deserve NO STARS ON THEIR 70th Anniversary. 1 hour wait to receive our order for us. The man in the picture was ahead of us and 1 hour and a half later was told that his order wasnt out yet. they told the women behind us that they didn’t know what her order was. TERRIBLE, INCOMPETENT SERVICE.

An El Paso tradition….you either love it or not….it was not very good to me, but it is worth trying!

Sadly, Chicos tacos had changed over the years. The times I’ve gone, it can be hit or miss on overall quality of the food. Nonetheless always good to have once every three months or so.

We are not from El Paso and I don’t eat beef or pork, with that being said this place seems to be where locals go. It has a nostalgia feel… Where people go because they went when they were young, or their family meets there for snacks. Super affordable and very vibrant vibe.

Coming to this location was like a trip down memory lane. I hadn’t been to this location in decades and it still looked the same. I came during lunch time and the service was pretty fast. The food was as delicious as always. Not much has changed, you still need cash but there’s an ATM, they still have a jukebox but the only thing that seems to chance was their prices. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely stop by.

We were craving chicos again . But didn’t want to drive all the way to the east side location where we had such a great experience. Coming here was so bad. From not finding parking. Then not finding a table inside. Had to wait and be seated. The food did not taste good at all. Tacos tasted old and had barely any meat in them. I got food poisoning from it for almost 6 days. So hey loosing 8lbs in 6 days cause if this place isn’t not bad. But lets face it. You could have taken my life if I didn’t get medicine from the er of how dehydrated I was. I’ll stick to the other locations as this one was not it. The people working there were sweet. But the cooks need more training on sanitation and food conservation because I got lucky. Others may have it worse.
