In town from Chicago. We were here for fireworks, parked behind the building FOR FREE!! Didn’t realize this gas station had real food. Went inside and it was jam packed. Waited in line for about a half hour to order. The food came out pretty quickly and was pretty good for a gas station restaurant. With all the chaos in there the employees were super friendly with smiles on their faces. Finished dinner, went outside watched fireworks.

I’m sitting in the parking lot cooling off after having an amazing meal and great service only to be ruined by an angry late 50’s short grey haired gal in the kitchen using the f word about me and others wasting their time. I wish I could have given this a 5 Star but I can’t. I want to come back sometime but with a toxic employee like that making our food I’m not comfortable. But the other staff was delightful.

We visited on Friday for lunch and everyone enjoyed the fried catfish, shrimp, coleslaw, and beans. Food was hot and delicious! We will be back on other days to enjoy more of the rotating menu.

2 stars because their Sunday brunch/buffet for $13 plus tax is horrible. Probably the worst breakfast I’ve had. They ran out of deviled eggs, which was the only other thing besides iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, baby carrots, Italian dressing and ranch. That was it. The ranch I put on my salad was bad/sour and I almost threw up. They originally had salt in the ranch dispenser. So to my surprise when I turned it up to put onto my salad it wasn’t ranch.

Great place! Great view of Bridgeport Lake while enjoying a really good home cooked meal. The desserts are homemade, daily and ALWAYS amazing. Lots of nic-nacks, clothes, grocery, beer and wine! It really is a ONE stop shop!!
