To arrive at an establishment and hour and a half before closing to be rushed was a little disappointing.

Dinner date with my son! He picked the place, his food was great, but my crab cake sandwich wasn’t. It was my breadcrumbs, then crabmeat. I didn’t enjoy it. The salad was good. The drinks were great.

We love the shuckin shack and tried out this location…friendly staff, cold drinks, and unfortunately cold seafood.

Stopped here after being downtown seeing Christmas lights as my friends teenage daughter loves crab legs and I saw they had them $5 off per lb on Thursdays so figured it would be a nice place to try out. They were not busy which was nice, service was good and water was refilled promptly as well. I did order a margarita it was pricey at 13.50 and not that great or strong FYI. My friend and her daughter got the calamari and enjoyed it and I got the scallops appetizer and they were 4 large sized ones and very good. My friend got the lobster roll and her daughter crab legs which she enjoyed just said they were a little salty. The lobster roll was cold which she didn’t realize she expected warm and lobster meat this was more of a lobster salad and it wasn’t large, she loved the slaw and took the roll home to heat up and eat later along with the potatoes as they were soft and she said the air fryer will crisp them up… I ordered the shrimp nachos which were good and loaded with shrimp (also salty) the queso sauce was good as well this chips were just ok a little stale…. Overall was an OK experience seafood is always pricey tho, we can say we tried it now. I’ve been to the one at Carolina Beach a couple times didn’t realize Raleigh had one til I googled crab legs for my friends daughter. So good to know!!

Decent seafood in a laid-back atmosphere. Reasonable prices. Good mixed drinks. Friendly but overworked waitress and bartender. Really nice specials. This is far from fancy. Just good food and drink at an affordable price. The mixed drinks are not too shabby, either. Try a painkiller.

I stopped in on my way to another establishment. Samantha was great! They didn’t have my favorite beer and she recommended a great one. The food was good too!

We Went there last night to have dinner with friends. Needless to say it was a hot day in Raleigh. We wanted to try this location as we had a terrific experience at the Surf City location. Well we walked in and it was not busy at all. I guess it had to do with the AC not working. We decided to stay even though it was a bit uncomfortable. My friends ordered the wings and they said they were ok nothing to be impressed about.

I’ve been to the Raleigh Shuckin’ Shack twice now. Both times, I’ve been very pleased! The oysters are excellent, but I must say the highlight for me was the crab legs. I have never had better crab legs! Both visits, the crab legs were absolutely incredible! I cracked them open to find very appetizing-looking meat—Snow White in color. I knew I was in for a real treat when I saw the color of the meat. The flavor of them was nutty/briny, very reminiscent of the ocean! They are sweet but not extremely sweet, with a very delicate salty flavor. Kind of tasted a bit like Polluck..Shuckin Shacks crab legs are divine! Holy cow!

Delicious! The fried pickles are an absolute must have!! Good specials and friendly service. Got there right before 5:00 on Friday night and the place was PACKED before we left. Our table loved the wings ($1 each during happy hour!) as well as the shrimp. Shoutout to Lindsey (I’ve been missing her at the Tryon Rd location!) and new server Wendy who was very attentive! All around a good experience… Will definitely come back to enjoy the patio when it’s not raining!!

There’s no sign yet, and on a new street, so it’s easy to miss. Staff are super nice and attentive. The oyster shooters were a great start, and the steamed and raw oysters came fast and tasty. 2 kinds of oysters to choose from when I went. The hushpuppies are crispy and addictive. Very happy this is close to my home.
