Saw Pat’s online when I was searching for a new spot to try and glad I did. Nothing fancy but if you’re looking for a pretty casual country store turned simple restaurant you’re good here. I got a couple of hot dogs with the works. That meant mustard mayo ketchup chili cheese onion slaw and relish. I grabbed a bag of chips and a soda from the cooler and was set. Service was handled entirely by one very nice lady who also gave a history of the building when another patron asked. I’m glad I made the drive.

Pat’s Cash & Carry in Salem, South Carolina is a convenient stop for quick service and good hot dogs and chili. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful, and the presence of a bathroom is always appreciated. The store seems to be a popular spot among older neighbors who like to congregate there. In addition to its regular inventory, Pat’s Cash & Carry also sells cigarette lighters. Overall, this is a great local store to visit if you want a quick bite to eat and a friendly face to converse with.

Had the best BBQ pulled pork sandwich with slaw. My friends loved their crunchy air fried chicken strips and air fried french fries. Absolutely delicious! Will definitely be coming back again and again!

Pulled up,friendly folks outside chatting, the LADIES running the place were prompt and kind.the lady answered a couple questions we had about the area,food was great( chef salad) sweet tea.great prices.loved the country store atmosphere..I will be back if I’m within 20 miles of the place..dine inside or out.. Nice family owned business. Sweet family and great food. We took our boys and niece there. My youngest son is currently obsessed with the rubiks cube and the daughter that was waiting our tabke was so kind and patient with him. She just stood and listened as he showed her and explained how he solves it. She also took the time to tell us the history of how her family got the business and the history of it before it was in her family. If we go back to the Salem area again we will definitely head back to Pat’s Cash and Carry.
