My parents live in Cloudcroft and a few months ago I was headed up there and really wishing I had stopped in Artesia for some food and a drink. I round the corner in Hope, NM and my prayers are answered. Not only answered but I found some of the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Had a great conversation with the owner and now I stop in to and from every trip to Cloudcroft.

Hands down the best bbq spot in SE NM, huge portions, great food, fair prices, good people. I Highly recommend the brisket sandwich plate.

No such place visible in Hope NM unless we blinked and missed it but we looked ALL over town which took only 3 minutes.
