We picked up bagels and snacks in the morning, and the shelves already looked like they had been ransacked. I wanted a plain bagel, and they were out of stock- at 10 o’clock in the morning! If Great American Bagel wants to retain staff, they need to figure out a way for their employees to earn tips! You are not allowed to leave a tip via credit card- why not? Unfortunately I did not have cash, and there was no way for me to leave a tip.

Menu says breakfast sandwiches on any bagel with a flat price posted… no posting on the menu where you would naturally look for prices, yet in the middle of my card being read they canceled it saying they charge extra for certain bagels. They said there was some paper sign with a notice to the side but a bunch of customers were standing in front of it so no idea what it said. Sandwich flavor was good but the sausage patty was very small compared to bagel so value not the best. Next time we’ll swing by panera on the way to GRR instead.

I would give this place 5 stars if they were ever open. I used to get so excited to fly into GRR just for this bagel shop, but for 2 years now, maybe even more, they are never open. I haven’t seen posted hours either, so no clue if they’re even in business anymore. 12pm, 5pm, 7pm…. Not open.

I ordered a Ham and Cheese Panini with lettuce, tomato and onions with a coke and a bag of chips. It was the first time having a Panini and it was delicious. The service was great.
