I was lucky enough to find this Gem when out in neighboring John Day for the Oregon BMW club annual rally. Great meal, served up by great people. On a positive note, you’re not likely to run into Joe, Kamala, Dr. Jill or Hunter in the bar, and that’s a good thing. I’ll make sure to come back.

THE most republican place I have ever been! The atmosphere was a ton of trump signs/grandma’s attic. The food was really good and my blackberry marg was the best The price was very reasonable. Loved the food and drink!

The only place to go for a real 20 Oz steak and a potato the size of softball. Perfectly cooked and the freshest side vegetables I have seen in a long time. Friendly folks who care about the food. Best to call ahead for a reservation as they get very busy.

Arrived in John Day looking to eat dinner. They are so popular you need reservations and there was a closed sign on the door. We went in and they were able to seat my husband and I at the bar. Delicious steak dinner – the owner is the chef and she knows her steaks!!

Fun and friendly! Food was delicious, and crazy big portions. Fair warning, if the decor triggers you, then maybe it’s not the place for you. But if you ❤️ 2A and/ the GOP, this is a must! However if your politics lead you away, know that you are giving up on some really good food!
