Love Grandale it’s a beautiful cozy restaurant. Customer service is always great. I didn’t have a reservation for nine but they were nice to accommodate us. Food is delicious. Must have 868 wine. Definitely is a place I will take my family for a special occasion.

Cool little one room, 10 table restaraunt with surprisingly creative & delicious food. The wine is good, straight from the 868 Estate Vineyards. They may open their Cab Franc a little sooner than most, but the young wine is zesty and tart, very lively on the palate, going well with their rich gastro presentations of locally sourced produce. Ambiance a bit noisy when full and service was a little slow, especially getting our orders taken. Other than that, it would be a rare 5-star from me!

Romantic, away from public. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. The resturant was the hight to my wife and I weekend trip together. My wife enjoyed the wine, I dont drink alchol.

Sarah did a great job helping us plan our rehearsal dinner. We talked with her many times and she quickly adjusted the seating when the weather turned bad. We had a wonderful event. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and everyone had a great time.

There seem to be only one young lady working as a hostess and server , she was very nice and did a good job. My wife and I both order the fillet mignon and it was definitely not worth the price. The flavor was OK at best and the first round of steaks we got was way overcooked. The second round of steaks we got was still slightly overcooked but we ate it anyway because we didn’t want to wait any longer. For the price I think I would rather go to any steakhouse and order a prime rib.

After enjoying 868 winery for the afternoon with another couple, we decided to eat here (shares winery location). We had steak, crabcakes, and swordfish. Swordfish was acceptable, but the diners said they would not order it again -rating 2. Crabcakes were better but did have filler rating 3. Steak was good rating 4. We had our fill of wine during the day so we all had water. No dessert. Wait staff handling water and clearing table were very good / attentive. Waiter less attentive. Left dessert menus with us for a long time and then took a while to process credit cards. They were busy so we cut him some slack. Nice picture window into kitchen to watch chef. All in all, fair place to eat. But we would not make a special trip to eat here. Couple of gluten free meals identified on menu.

Intimate setting. Wonderful in the winter. The food is outstanding and has never disappointed. This chef has excellent and artistic menus full of nuance. This most recent visit, I literally had the best duck breast I had ever tasted accompanied by a wonderful white bean hummus and rutabaga. And…That bacon poutine! Oh, and those sweet potato dessert truffles. Who could have anticipated those?!

Grandale is a beautiful place, and it is certainly full of beautiful people. We planned our wedding and rehearsal well before COVID, and must say we were quite panicked about if vendors would let us reschedule. The people at Grandale we re so flexible and kind throughout it all, allowing us to switch the date, and still offering top notch service and food! Seriously, the food was AMAZING! I feel sooo blessed that they were so willing to work with us through our countless changes, even after the final due dates… we had guests dropping and adding left and right and they we’re so sweet to accommodate us. Thank you again, Grandale!
