Didn’t take a lot of digging to turn up this oasis in a relative espresso desert outside Troy. Conveniently located for a quick stop off Rt 7, the abruptness of the sole employee was adequately offset by the quality of a properly pulled shot.

Good food but don’t come here unless you are comfortable in an overtly religious environment. There is a D. Trump teddy bear in the dining area, new age religious music playing on the radio, and during our twenty minutes in this establishment a man came in and spoke with customers and staff about how the Statue of Liberty is a “false god”, drowning out any other conversation taking place. Definitely an oppressive and uncomfortable experience for a few average folks just stopping in for lunch, not expecting to be bombarded by the Christian lifestyle of the proprietors.

Unfriendly and judgmental staff. Lots of Trump memorabilia decorating the entire place, including a large trump teddy bear with its own seat in the corner along with photos of conservative Supreme Court justices (strange choice of decoration). They seem to have an evangelical Christian atmosphere which came off as forced since they were playing loud modern Christian worship music on repeat over the speakers. Other customers were walking around loudly saying “praise the lord” and talking about the “temptation of evil spirits” which added to the uncomfortable and cult-like atmosphere. One customer was on a loud rant to a group of others about how people with dementia are being “deceived by the devil” which I found extremely insensitive and ill-informed. Not a friendly or inclusive environment, I regret spending a penny here. Lots of red flags during just the 15 minutes that I spent there.

Truly their prices are ridiculous for the type of food they serve. I spent $3 on a bagel and look at the cream cheese. I mean come on. I have said “go heavy on the cream cheese” and they charge extra for that and still don’t give enough. It is so dry. Picture for reference.
