I used to live and work in Bethany and so I was able to eat here often, and I did for almost 11 years. It was my favorite place to get Thai. About 9 years ago, I moved away and had not had an opportunity to visit this wonderful little restaurant. Thankfully, I had an opportunity to visit again tonight! It was exactly as I remembered it! There is nothing else like it! I recommend the panang curry, the fried rice with chicken, and the fresh spring rolls. But, I don’t think you can really go wrong with anything you choose.

We were from out of town and did not know where to eat so I turned to Google for help. I like Thai food and it was nearby so I thought I would give it a try. My daughters 9 & 11 were not happy with the choice but there was a Sonic nearby. I told them if they could not find something to eat at Lai Thai I would take them there after. We ordered one plate for the girls to share and they liked it so much we ordered another one for them. Everyone liked what they got. If I lived in OKC I would definitely come back. We got the coconut mango sticky rice for dessert and it was delicious.

This place sometimes has amazing Thai food, and sometimes it totally misses the mark. I have had a couple of Penang tofu curries that have had almost no spice or curry in them whatsoever. Also, when you ask them for “Thai hot,“ the restaurant’s nomenclature for extremely spicy, it is completely inconsistent from one order to the next as to what you are going to get.

This WAS my favorite thai restaurant when we used to live in Oklahoma City. Had the chance to recently have it again and it was extremely disappointing. The chicken curry was really watered down and mostly undercooked potatoes.
