First time trying Lakeland BBQ and it was delicious, definitely coming back again. I had the monster big pig sandwich and barely finished it in one sitting, very generous portion of the sandwich and tea. The Sweet sauce was my personal favorite. The prices seemed fair but I may consider the value meal deal for $9.99 next time for something smaller.

First time at Lakeland BBQ and Ice Cream. The owners Gonzo and Christy were very welcoming and personable. I loved the graphics on the wall, it was well put together, I didn’t get the name of the artist. I ordered the salad bar bowl for only $2.99. It was a large bowl and was plenty for me and had lots of choices. Husband got the salad bowl and the chicken quesadilla with pit beans and said both were good. The quesadilla was grilled with spices on the tortillas with lots of chicken and cheese and came with salsa and sour cream. The pit beans were so good! (Yes, I gave them a taste too). We didn’t have room for the ice cream or other deserts but we will be back soon to give them a try along with other menu items. Will bring the folks with us too. Thanks for a great lunch!!

In search for some new BBQ in the area I remembered seeing this place. It’s tucked away behind a Cuban Restaurant so it doesn’t have the visibility it deserves, but it is definitely worth a look. I got the Private James Mills Sampler which includes with ratings: Brisket (4), Sausage Link (4), Pulled Chicken (3), Pulled Pork (5), Spare Ribs (5), I also got a 1/2 rack ribs, and I’m glad I did!! The Brisket deserves a 5 as the flavor and smoke content is perfect, problem today is as pictured the bark and meat both wet and lean were sitting and had dried on the outside, I have made a ton of Brisket I know. I want the fresh cut Brisket, I’ll be back for that. The Sausage Link was very good, has a nice snap casing and a bit of a kick. Pulled Chicken was my least favorite as it was dry, had flavor but was dry, the Gold BBQ sauce made the chicken much better. Pulled Pork was the tie winner along with the Spare Ribs, both were flavorful and juicy, neither needs a sauce but the sweet heat and sweet BBQ sauce were great additions. SIDES: Pit Beans (5), Greens (4), Mac n Cheese (4), Apple Slaw (3)…Beans rank easily in my top 10 out of all the states and competition beans I have sampled. All other sides are worth a look, the Apple Slaw just didn’t work for me. There is no reason this place is not hopping on a Friday night, in this area, at 6pm. Ohhh, and hit that Sweet Tea, it’s not overly sweet and had me looking for a refill, I hate that straw hitting the bottom of the cup feeling.

Man! This place rocks.. the people are amazing, feels like home, and the food was delish. We had the platter feast including all the meats and all the sides, we sampled everything, and all was flavorful.

Amazing and so good!! You can do cheap or expensive really all up to you. And make sure to look at the ice cream and make it into a milk shake. So worth it.

Gonzo cooked up a delicious (and huge!) pulled pork quesadilla. The grilled cheese sandwhich was also great. The baked beans are more like chili beans, which we loved, and the cheesy hashbrowns were perfectly cheesy. Picture shows 1 of 4 slices in the quesadilla and half of the grilled cheese.

Hands down one of the best BBQ places we have found since moving here! The portion sizes are amazing along with the prices and service! The Mac and Cheese is out of this world! Officially our new weekly date spot! The 2 young men working were so polite and considerate! Oh and the tea was the best I’ve had since living in Georgia!

This little restaurant is located in the Sterling Square shopping plaza off S Combee Road. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I saw on their menu that the had brisket quesadillas. I ordered them with baked beans and a chocolate parfe. With sour cream on the side and a vinegar sauce at the table this meal was amazing. I don’t know how they cooked their tortillas but it had an awesome crunch that almost resembled bighting into a strudel. It was a meal I would recommend to anyone visiting the area. The inside seating was basic abut clean and again I received great service from the two ladies working that afternoon. 10/10.
