Laid back, relaxed and eclectic. The food is about as fresh as you can get. This is one of those places that are cool without even trying. Small open kitchen Mexican cuisine, with a small menu and specials every day. Beverage is limited to what is in the cooler. No alcohol. 14 inside seats, 10 seats on the back outdoor patio.

Are you looking for a quiet place to enjoy a fantastic meal with polite & friendly staff? Gilly’s has exactly that. I ordered their grilled cheese with a side of tomato basil soup & it blew me away. The soup alone was astounding – I’ve never had anything like it – and it will certainly keep me and my family coming back for more. The grilled cheese was out of this world – so creamy, cheesy, and buttery. Both are ridiculously filling and you can tell that the Gilly’s staff put love into their food when it’s made… not to mention, the food is FRESH. It doesn’t get better than that. I am beyond impressed with this little place. Inside is so cozy, warm, and inviting. This is a place you & your family & friends won’t want to miss out on!

The best authentic food in bay city we drove 40 miles to try it and all I can say is I will drive 40 miles again the puffy tacos were excellent and service was great and food was very fresh !! They made a mistake on my order and promptly fixed it with no worries at all!!! We will definitely be back ty so much gillys

Best Mexican flavor in the tri-cities that I have found. Chips alone are worth the visit. Large nachos were very filling for 2. Salsa was terrific but I wish I bought more. The amount of cilantro used in all of the food was perfectly balanced for those who like it and those like myself that do not. Keep up the great work. Will be back very soon.

Came in for Taco Tuesday and got THE BEST tacos, beans and rice I’ve ever had! Gilly was so personable and brought out our food and made sure we were taken care of. Definitely coming back to try other items on the menu!
