This is literally the first review I’ve ever left anywhere. I’ve eaten at this place manny times before and I have always loved it. However the other night I ate a taco that had a piece of rubber packaging in the taco meat. Also my wife and my daughter got very sick from their food. I’m posting this so that the owners can hopefully fix this issue for future guests. I unfortunately will never go back.

Being vegetarian, I ordered my usual veggie burrito. I could not be happier with serving size (bigger than what I want – buy that was ok as I brought half home for next day lunch), quick service, and the general ambience of restaurant. The server was super nice as well. Definitely would recommend to anyone. It cost me less than $12 plus tip. I figure I pay almost same for any decent fast food burrito place, and why wouldn’t I come here where I get to sit down with friends and enjoy good environment!

Had some street tacos and drinks here. I like their vibe. They have a great variety of alcohol. Their mixed drinks are prime level. The chips and salsa are delicious. Service is fantastic. They offer heaters in outdoor area. I do recommend getting a reservation, Can get busy at times.

Heard about poppies through a friend, and stopped in for the all-day happy hour on Sunday. We rode our bikes across town 9 miles, it wasn’t bad at all. The happy hour specials are great, great beer specials micheladas specials spicy Coronas with the shrimp. We tried the wings and the Pollo tacos. But we will be back to try the state quesadilla and others! We sat at the bar and still got great service even though they were very busy! Thanks again!

Tried Papi’s and it was pretty good. I went with the surf and turf as it seems to be the most popular menu item. It didn’t disappoint. The steak was chargrilled and a little tough but the flavor was good. I asked for extra sour cream and it was pretty good. Visited on a Saturday afternoon and they were pretty busy. They offer outside dining and seem to have a banquet room as well. I saw a lot of tequila so would love to try one of their margaritas.

Visited here for a dinner few days ago. We had the chicken fajita and vegetable enchiladas. Also had the drinks. The ambience is good. Staff is friendly. Food is descent. The chips and salsa was fresh. Liked their hot salsa. The chicken fajitas were good. The enchilada were ok. Wouldn’t orders then again. Overall a descent experience. Worth another try.

We went out for a walk on sauger pine trail and on our way back we stopped for breakfast at Papie’s Mex Grill. Nothing like staring with chips and salsa. The salsa took me back to an old restaurant we loved, Fajita Fiesta, just the right amount of hot and spicy, not too hot to stop eating, just the right amount too keep you coming back for more. The stake and eggs were very good. It made the walk worth while.
