Yesterday I ordered a cinnamon dolce latte. The batista behind the counter was very bizarre. He refused to talk with me and after I got my drink I noticed a strange after taste. I didn’t think much of it and my mom and I split my drink. After we drank it we both got very sick. This has never happened before. I’ll never go to this Starbucks again. I honestly wish I saved the cup so I could’ve had it tested.

This Starbucks is completely new so I do NOT want to be too harsh. The plus side is its very convient and clean as well. However, theres a few downsides. Given that the Starbucks is new there are several new employees who clearly have never worked at a Starbucks. This isn’t that big of an issue, but becomes problematic if they have no expierence being a barista let alone working in a coffee shop in general. The young girl who was clearly in training did not know how to make a iced latte. Which anyone can do considering its just brewed espresso with cold milk. Unfortunately it seemed the girl who was training her was also apparently new and had absolutely no clue how to make one either because she told her trainee to steam the milk which well was idiotic. I let it go, but struggled to let it go when I requested a Venti (two shots espresso) with an additional 2 extra shots. She either forgot to add an extra shot or simply only thought it originally only had 1 shot to begin with because in the end I was only given 3 shots. This doesn’t sound like a big deal, but when its taking 8-9 minutes for two girls to literally make a very basic drink and they screw it up you do end up getting annoyed. Honestly Starbucks is not cheap, but I do enjoy their coffee; that being said I expect a barista to know how to make a VERY easy drink in well a somewhat timely manner considering I was the only customer.
