1 word DELICIOUS! Love this place. Food is always cooked fresh. Flavor is just on point. It’s a like precious gem in the wall. Driving over 1-2 hrs to eat here every week. Let’s just say it’s that delicious. Our usually is the Roasted Pork Belly XO fried rice and Pork dumplings, of course another different dish to try everytime we here. Very friendly service. Mus try.

Don’t let the remodel dissuade you from coming to this business. Local ownership and the food is beyond excellent! I had the Korean Fried Chicken and I also tried several of the dumplings. I was not disappointed. I would recommend anybody who enjoys this kind of food try it. I would also recommend it if you’ve never had it before get outside your comfort zone it is well worth it.

The food was phenomenal. Massive portions, freshly made and you can sit at the bar and watch as they cook. I went during lunch and was able to have a great chat with Eddie (chef) who was a super nice guy. You have got to try the smoked salmon rangoons with their homemade sweet and sour sauce. Easily one of the BEST places in Lawrence!

I’m usually not a huge fan of fusion food, but this place does it well! I would definitely recommend if you like to try something new and fresh. I was attracted here by the adorable cat that the owner based the mascot on, but I was pleasantly surprised! It is a bit pricey, but the food is made fresh and with care so honestly it makes it worth it to support a small business. I got the butter chicken dumplings and the fried chicken sandwich. Staff is very nice and friendly! They are currently undergoing construction to expand, so if you have a bigger party or don’t want to worry about seating, then I recommend you take your food to go for now!

Where to begin? Aside of the staff, watching them prepare your food, the food quality itself is highly unique and unrivaled in the area. Not just dumplings, they have fantastic chicken sandwiches, fries, noodles, rice bowls with delicious smoked brisket, smoked salmon Rangoon and more. Check them out first, thank me later.

I decided to pop by Lucky Seb’s Dumpling Bar & Grill and finally try the big brisket sandwich that I keep hearing good things about. You can tell right off the bat that this is a dude that honed his skills in the KC area. Brisket and burnt ends both with a perfect smoke level were not dry at all, which is my major gripe with a number of bbq joints. Very typical sauce, sweet and with a heavy dose of black pepper, along with crispy fried onions and some melted provolone. Toasted brioche bun holds up to all the ingredients, even after traveling. Fries are plentiful and aggressively seasoned, just the way God intended. Feels a bit sacrilegious to order anything other than dumplings from a place with dumplings in the name, but this is a damn good sandwich on par with any of the well loved KC spots. Kudos to Chef Will once again.

The absolute BEST food in all the land!! Unique flavors that you’ll crave until the next visit. The spicy fried chicken was to die for and the brisket rice was hittin’. The masa dumplings were in a category of their own. Don’t hesitate!! Go here! My only advice is to order enough to take home for the next day. Oh, and the owner even came to our table to talk to us. He was a sweet man and definitely knows how to cook!

We LOVE Lucky Seb’s. Everything we’ve had here has been well executed and delicious. The portions are generous. The staff are attentive and polite. The owner is a gem of a person who treats his staff with respect. Pictured are the butter chicken dumplings. Everyone who tried these thought they were delicious. And, we never dine there without getting Kimchi Fries. Follow them on Instagram to see their specials, or order online. This is a place that doesn’t disappoint!

I have wanted to try this place since I spotted it in the corner of the small rundown shopping center. I tried twice when they had to close due to unforeseen circumstances. I was so intrigued by the menu. Finally, I was in Lawrence when they were open and I was so excited!!! They had a beet salad that I couldn’t wait to try. With all the reviews of the fried chicken I just had to add it to my salad. The chicken lived up to its reputation. Unfortunately the salad was less than impressive. They have amazing flavors but the execution of this salad was way off. First they describe it as a beet salad. Well I had a couple of tablespoons of beets on top of way too many mixed greens that really didn’t compliment the other ingredients at all. I had to search for any sign of goat cheese that was promised and only found I itty bitty piece. I did ask for more goat cheese and extra dressing for the huge portion of mixed greens and they were very accommodating. Service is excellent and very kind. The walnuts were not crushed as I prefer so they mix with the salad. It’s hard to put a half of a walnut on your fork. The amount of walnuts was also excessive. I had at least 12 halves and for the money they spent on those I would have definitely enjoyed more of the main ingredients listed. I would of loved just a small bed of greens with more beets, goat cheese and fried onions. Then the dressing would be more proportionate to the ingredients. I will definitely try again because the soup of the day smelled heavenly and the dumplings were made in house and looked divine. I will definitely review again after my next visit.
