First time visiting Oishi. My husband ordered a beef bowl , and the meat was hard and chewed. I really wanted to try a Japanese soda, but they were out of it. Instead, I ordered a shirley temple drink, and they brought me something else. My Ramen soup was decent. In my opinion, it was missing some flavor, but i ate it. I did like that they greeted us as soon as we walked in.

This place finally just reopened. So amazing! The best sushi place in the whole valley and L.A. Been all around and this is the best place by far. So glad that they back. The only negative reviews are non sushi lovers l, period.

The high-quality food it’s only matched by the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. No need to swing down to Hollywood for a top-shelf sushi experience, this place is just great! The traditional bar is sophisticated yet welcoming, and they even boast more than just excellent sushi. They also have comprehensive bento and ramen menu. Also, they have Kirin Ichiban– which, as a personal bias, always scores a place extra points since it’s the best beer to accompany sushi (don’t @ me lol). Give them a try, you might just find your new favorite sushi & ramen joint

All of our rolls were fresh and didn’t taste typical despite having the same ingredients as most rolls these days. I wish they had more salmon options on their menu which was my only draw back as most of their rolls have tuna or spicy tuna.
