Only the second place I’ve been to with steamed cheeseburgers, after the legendary Ted’s in Meriden. This may come across as heresy, but I found the actual patty more flavorful here! The double with bacon was a lot of food! The owner is a collector so the place is decorated with memorabilia and he even stocks every brand and variety of soda. His mom was behind the counter when I visited and I loved talking with her. I’ll be back next time I’m in central CT!

First time here. The burger wasn’t bad. I thought the meat could have been seasoned more and way less cheese would have been nice. The ambiance was unique. The woman serving us was nice. Price was a bit heavy. Not too disappointed.

Found out about Connecticut having steamed burgers. They were fully cooked and huge. Didn’t seem like the burgers shrunk like other cooking methods. Delicious especially with the cheese.

I live close by to the restaurant, so I might be biased. I crave their burgers from time to time. The burgers are big and make it worth the price, and the baked goods are homemade. It’s rare when the have lemon squares (my favorite). They’re open very late in Wallingford so its awesome to go there when you’re doing an all night study sesh like I am rn. I’m about to place an order

Been here a few times now for a late night burger, and it has been fantastic every time. Great food, very reasonable prices. Pictured is the double steamed cheeseburger.

This little place may be a hole in the wall but the food is just amazing because the owner dose not use grease on any of his food and the restaurant is incredibly clean. The owner is extremely friendly and remembers the name of his frequent patrons.

Wow! Make sure you go hungry because the double cheeseburger is like the size of your head! It was melty, deliciousness and I’d definitely go back! Plus they have alllll the old fashioned glass bottle sodas and a fun, home-like atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed!

This is a covid 19 takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. If ambiance and upscale are your thing this place isn’t for you. But if great burgers are what inspire you, it is imperative that you stop in here. The steamed cheeseburger is unique to this party of CT and I don’t know why. There should be more of them around the state and country. They are well done yet juicy and flavorful. I went with cheddar cheese and it gave it even more flavor. Nice fresh bread, fresh toppings, a winner in every sense. On a scale from 0-10 I rate this 9.2.

Our first time here, owner was very friendly, burgers were very good, tuna mac was delicious, just the way I make it with peas! And a very eclectic variety of sodas to choose from. I will go back again, if you dont like alot of cheese on your burger, you better tell him, lol! I love cheese, and it was alot of cheese, I had to take more than half off.
