At our Laurinburg, NC location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten at a Captain Ds before today, but it was everything you might expect from a fast food seafood place. The food was good. I had fried shrimp, fish, and fries. The shrimp was good. The fish was OK. The slaw was good and went well with the rest of it. The bathrooms and the eating areas were clean.

Good seafood selections at good prices. You can actually just drive through! Senior Wednesday specials at great prices. Parking wheelchair accessible. No table service, order at register and seat yourself. One stall ladies room. Very clean all over. Staff helped us with our menu selections and got them out quickly. Great lunch!

My Experience was Horrible!!!! Customer Service was Horrible!!!! Food was Luke Warm and very Greasy because it was just sitting probably under a warmer!!!! The Young lady put her Hands without a glove on my food!!!! This is the Laurinburg Location!!! Back in the day this used to be the Place to get Fresh Hot food and Great Customer Service and even the Manager was sitting down on her Phone having a Conversation and being loud with her conversation!!!! Guys the Rockingham location got you guys whipped!!!! I believe that the Laurinburg location has lost it’s flame or maybe I caught them in a bad day!!! Anyway. You guys got to get yourselves together!!! You never know who will dine in at your restaurant!!! PS. It was a Ghost town in side!!!!

Waited 20 min for fresh plates. There was 3 customers in restaurants ahead of me. Drive through customers seemed to have priority. Fish and shrimp very good. Chicken strips were inedible

Ordered the garlic and herb shrimp with fish, and the blackened grilled tilapia. Both orders were wonderful. My favorite though is the funnel stix. The powdered sugar over fried dough is yummy!!

This location never seems to disappoint! We love Captain D’s. This fish was fresh and hearty. The shrimp and crab cakes were really good as well. The coleslaw was a little dry, but it was good. The broccoli was hot, steamy, and delicious!The tarter sauce is the real star of the plate, though. I love tarter sauce! I’m not one for hushpuppies, but they’re sooo good! Between the two locations that are closest to me, I believe this is the one I need to go to from now on. The girl at the window wasn’t friendly, but she did her job.

I ordered and pre-paid online. Was given the estimated time it would be ready, but waited an extra 10 minutes because it was a big order. When i get there, they say they don’t have an online order and left me at the counter. Finally someone came back and i asked for a manager. Then they magically found my order and told me they don’t make the online orders til the customer gets there. So what’s the point in ordering ahead if they’re not going to make your order til you get there? Still, would’ve been fine, but there was no apology or reasonable explanation. Won’t be back.
