Very sad to report my experience today. I was truly looking forward to trying Chicken Salad Chick, as they’ve recently opened several locations around the Nashville area and I’ve heard good things. Unfortunately, with my first experience today and ordering a chicken salad salad, I was served old rotting lettuce. The sadder part was that it appeared that they placed gray lettuce on top to hide it. I can’t say that I’ll be back.

We love chicken salad chick and on a hot day like today, it really hit the spot. My only complaint is that Claire was 100% a smarta*ss when I asked how bacon-y the bacon was and she responded with I don’t make it. When you’ve not tried all the flavors, it’s a reasonable question. Especially given that I don’t mind bacon pieces, but I chanced it and it was overwhelming bacon-y. I tried changing it at the time I ordered, but she clearly was not in the mood or what, because it felt like I was an inconvenience. So, now I know not to get that one and I wasted a scoop because it was all bacon flavored, not just bits of bacon. I just think she probably needs a bit more training in customer service when asking a simple question. Employees should have a general idea of what has what. If someone asked if the Jalapeno Holly was spicy, I would say, no it’s got a slight spice but not what I would say is spicy. Little things like that. But she was completely unhelpful and showed she didn’t wanna work.

I keep trying different sandwiches, but it’s always not great! The actual chicken salad was good, but I asked for very well-done bacon on my chicken BLT sandwich. It was NOT!! Also, the wheat toast was not toasted and crisp. The bread was soggy from top to bottom. The sandwich was not as I had expected it to be. The tortilla soup was delicious. I’ve had two different soups there, and they both were good. I took an $8 pasta salad to go. It was awful!!! The pasta was dry, and the whole salad was tasteless except for the overpowering taste of olives. I threw it in the garbage. Sorry I work at Home Depot across the street, so I try to support the local food establishments by my job.

I have gone to this Chicken Salad chick a few times now. The first couple of times it was okay. The employees didn’t seem to know what was going on and we’re confused with orders and there were only a few customers there. This last time my husband went through the drive-thru and he said the same things. He waited for 20mins before even getting to order and there were 2 cars ahead of him. And when he got to the window the employees seemed to be milling around aimlessly. There were a lot of employees but no one was really doing anything. I have never had a problem with the food until this last time. My sandwich was good but the Mac and cheese was disgusting it had a brownish tint to it, the noodles were mashed in pieces and it smelled off. The scoop of fancy Nancy I had didn’t seem quite right either but I couldn’t put me finger on it. Not sure if I’ll go back to this location it may be better to go to the Murfreesboro one.

Great “girls place^ though with a love for homemade chicken or pimento salad will love. Soups and sides are also wonderful. Think of a perfect southern luncheon on a spring day. My cousins and I visited, on a day of connecting to and evolving from our roots. Very healing… and just plain good.
