I’m confused by the bad reviews. I stopped here today after work, and it was wayyy better than any fast food chain around, and equally as cheap. I will note that I did NOT get onions on my burger, which seems to be a lot of people’s complaints. I got a basket: cheeseburger with mustard, tomato, lettuce, and pickles, as well as fries. I thought the toasted bun was excellent. The fries were good, but nothing out of the ordinary. Next time I’ll probably get double meat, as it is a pretty small burger. Overall, I’d much rather be a patron of a mom and pop joint than give my money to a big fast food place, particularly when the food at Someburger is better.

The cheeseburger is really tasty! Everything is fresh and the fries are tasty as well, not too much salt. Would place them at #5 in Houston. Enjoyed seeing the cereal (Corn Pops) they have for breakfast.

They aren’t gourmet by any stretch, but have been consistent since I was a child. I moved away decades ago and stopped in and ordered a basket. I was taken back to my childhood. Like I said, not a craft burger, but nostalgic

How in the heck is this place rated almost 4.5 stars? The burger at this place is garbage. I ordered a Someburger plus ketchup and received a cold dried out burger patty in-between two slices of an old bun that wasn’t fresh. The burger was SUPER overloaded with diced onions that were not fresh and had a bitter taste. I love freshly diced onions, but even after I scraped off half of them there was still too many. I wanted to scrape off more, but they were mixed in with finely chopped lettuce and I didn’t want to scrape off all the lettuce. There was one small slice of tomato about the size of a roma tomato and no pickles. For $5.45 for a single, one would think they could put on some pickles. When I took a bite of this horrible burger I wanted to throw it away, but for the price I paid for it I struggled to eat most of it. The onions were too overpowering and the bun was too awful to eat it all.

Pretty basic burger. I probably enjoy Chick-fil-A more. If that’s your thing, this is the spot for a traditional burger. Price is pretty aligned with the area

I moved to Houston 24 years ago. When I get to a new city I like to explore. I particularly like to check out off beat places. Of course probably the first fast food place was What*******r. I worked in the Heights. Then I saw this forlorn green building with a name that had to be a riff. It was lunchtime and it was abandoned. Looked like I was the first customer they had seen in a week. I still was game, so I ordered a burger and I don’t recall what else. About 15 or 20 minutes later, the window opened and a bag came through. The only seating was a picnic table, so I used it. I choked down what I could, threw the trash in the barrel (yes, there was one- funny, there was nothing else in it. ) As I recall, the burger was as bad as another reviewer said, nasty onions and all. Chalk it up to a new experience. It was one of the worst places I have ever been.

I don’t know what it is but these are the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. They are beyond delicious. It’s a take out with picnic benches and a sheet metal building all the elements of a terrific find. You won’t be disappointed !

This is one of those heights places that looks good but is actually terribly overrated. I’m not sure what all the hullabaloo is about. Well Below average bacon cheese burger for $10!!!!! Not crisp, thin bacon. Unseasoned patty. Literal iceberg chunks on the sandwich. American cheap cheese. Menu seems affordable but is really nickel and diming to death. Overall, A shot taken, not to be repeated. Do yourself a favor and head over to Burger Joint for a few dollars more and have a burger you’ll be happy you bought.

I paid 13.?? total for a cheese burger combo. It was a tee tiny thin Patti from a frozen box, on a huge dried out, crunchy around the edges, bun! Not good at all! The fries and the 20 oz coke was good! Will not return!
