I had to go back to this restaurant and celebrate my birthday because I remembered how good the food was. The staff is so friendly and the Chef brings the food out to you. This is a fine-dining experience in a vacation setting. This is like being on an island vacation. They brought out a complimentary slice of sweet potato pie.

My family and I were visiting the Phoenix area for the weekend and we wanted Jamaican food. A search online lead to Ocean Blue but it was closing in an hour. We rushed there anyways and ordered jerk chicken and curry goat combo for take out. However serval of the sides were sold out and we totally understood since it was almost closing time. No worries – we were happy to get different sides. Then, the chef brought our food and said in the kindest tone and apologized that he ran out of sides. My husband reiterated that it was totally fine because we came too late. The chef thanked us for our understanding and said he had already prepared two full orders of jerk chicken and curry goat for us instead of the one combo plate! He also added in a curry chicken we didn’t order! OMG what an amazing and generous host! We felt like he treated us like family who had come to his home for a meal. That wasn’t it, when we ate our food back at the hotel, we were blown away by how good it was. Totally reminded us of the food we had when we vacationed in Jamaica. The food was so good that my husband begged me freeze the leftover jerk chicken to take it back to CA the next day. Lol Thank you Chef for being such a gracious host and you have a fantastic talent for cooking delicious food! We will definitely visit again when we come back to AZ.

Had a great experience there. First time I’ve ever had curry goat and it was awesome. The person I was with asked about a dessert, but we didn’t order it. They brought it out for us free of charge! Also have to note, loved the coleslaw. Many places use mayonnaise as a base, but they use vinegar. Loved it! Would highly recommend!

The food tasted absolutely amazing!!!! We did wait a long time but, it was so worth it. I got the jerk chicken and curry shrimp and my husband got the tacos. It’s the type of food you rave about hours after you ate it. If you’re willing to wait a bit, it’s so worth it.

Gravy was very thin and runny. I don’t care for so many tomatoes in stew chicken or in cabbage. I think you would be able to taste the spices of it weren’t for so many tomatoes watering everything down. Also, I only ordered plantains and cabbage. She wasn’t listening and gave me rice instead. By the time my cabbage got done, the rest of my food was cold. Also, I was upset at the portion of plantains. Everything about my visit was sad. I wanted to treat myself, and all I did was wasted $30.

Food can be watered or ketchup I’m not sure. Hit or miss. Can be very good mostly. There’s no way to avoid the wait and we have tried it all. I ordered online at 7:46 and its 9:31 and no hint my food is ready or near. Not our first visit, I usually make hubby wait b/c he prefers here to the one in Mesa. Oh my the server just walked up to me and ask if I ordered and she took my payment for the drinks I added when I came in. She forgot them too I bet. No atmosphere in AZ is nice the people are zombies. I spent the day moving on over 100 degree weather I didn’t need this. I looked for help from the other server but she put her head in a notebook and walked to the back of the restaurant. I worked restaurant I know how it works.
