Could not have had a better dining experience! First of all, Patricia is a STAR. All the staff were attentive and caring, never a glass-half-empty. She went above and beyond with our meals and we were able to order steamed clams off-menu. The house bread was divine; we ended up boxing the leftover bites. Service was impeccable and you can’t beat a view of the sunset on the river. We were also celebrating a birthday, but since we didn’t opt for a dessert, she brought over a little bowl of whipped cream with a candle for the birthday girl to make a wish. Really appreciated how special everyone made us feel. Can’t say enough good things! And prices were very reasonable considering location and ambiance! Thanks for having us; we hope to dine again soon!

Food tasted so good after a hungry and sweaty day hiking on the castle rock trail. The complementary bread was sooo good, it was so chewy and has the perfect touch of salt and herb. Got the cod with curried vegetables, clam linguine, and tacos. Really loved the chewy pasta and the plump and juicy clams.

Beautiful space right on the Hudson River! Great atmosphere, soft music, low lights, and most importantly the food is amazing… Even just the bread that comes before the meal is delicious. I had mac and cheese, classic dish but so good here with added mushrooms and baked to get a nice crispy top and the servers were all so friendly! Instant favorite

Excellent rapid service, quick to refill our water and bread. The bread was also great. I simply did not enjoy my pizza, which had little taste and an overly hard crust. At least one entrée (a chicken and pasta one) was far too small, though everything else was large. One member of my party did enjoy her pizza. The acoustics were painfully noisy, and it was crowded with seemingly poor ventilation.

What a great end to a long hike in Breakneck Ridge! To start-off, the Focaccia was one of the greatest I’ve ever had! The oysters were so fresh. The Riverview Fish & Shellfish Stew was delightful! The broth was so flavorful. And the waitress was the sweetest person! If you ever come to Cold Spring, check this place out!!

Good place for food after a full day of hike. I like the dessert, the ice cream was made with real vanilla beans. Pizza was good too, although we can get much better pizzas from the city of course. Not too keen about the shoestring chips. Service was a bit slow.

Had a very nice dinner at Riverview. We sat in the River room with views of the Hudson. Our server, Patricia, was very pleasant and knowledgeable of the menu. The bread, made on the premises, came warm to the table, filled with the delicious flavor of herbs. We shared 2 delicious salads that set a great tone for the meal. For main course, we all ate specials of the day: haddock with curried caulifauer, a sirloin burger, and mussels with fries. The food was good (especially the haddock and the fries), but the experience was perfect after an active day of walking the streets of Cold Spring and taking a beautiful hike.

Very nice experience! The staff were warm and welcoming. They accommodated our group of 8 with separate checks. And most importantly…. the food was excellent! However, they only take cash or checks. They do have an ATM.
